Join Dr. Cheryl Cottle and Dr. Sylvia Lafair explore the topic of meaningful living on Women in Business Radio on Monday 11 at 1:00 am EST. Many people have achieved this state of being? What exactly is it? How is it attained still eludes some people. It is my hope that individual listening will gain an understanding of this abstract notion. Is it some thing that we can feel, or physically decribe, or is it something perceived? Does it comes with maturity and experiences or it can happen to us at variuos stages of our developement. Some one as young as an adolocent can experience meaningful living, early adult hood or even much more matrure. Dr. Sylvia LaFair is a Psycologist and a Family Threapist. She also provides executive coaching, leadership development. Dr. LaFair is also the President of Creative Options Inc. Join Dr. Cheryl Cottle and her guest Mercedes Dash as they talk about Meaningful Living and how it is sometimes achieved by transitioning. Sometimes we have to go through many stages of change to eventually achieve the peace and life that we want. To ensure that life is worth living, one must live a meaningful life. To achieve that life, one sometimes has to transition. Transitioning or changing becomes a part of the process of growth and development. For some transitioning is a continuous process until you reach that point of self-actualization — where you know yourself, value your self-worth and love who you are.
When adversity hit Mercedes due to the loss of her family’s business, Mercedes decided to look deeply into herself to find out was heart-centered and soul-filling for her. Taking care of children was her love and passion having brought up 4 sons and taken care of her seven grand-children. Mercedes also went back to college where she took a course in Early Childhood Development to better prepare her for her role in education. Mercedes is also a serial-entrepreneur recently opening an in-home preschool and childcare. In September of this year Mercedes added a new business; a children’s party business which is named Children’s Party to Go.

Love is not just a sentiment, love is a verb. It affects all of our relationships. All of our relationships, with God, others, and oneself, should be reflections of love. Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." Join Dr. Alfie for today's discussion on: If You Love Me . . .

Do you run on-time? Or, do you tend to run either a little early or a little late? Regardless of whether you have a reputation for being punctual or habitually late, we all seem to be in a race against time. Have you ever stopped to think about your relationship with time? Today we're going to do just that. Many of us are unconsciouslly obsessed with time! We either put our attention and focus on the past, where we lament the decisions or a time-like our youth-gone by, or we look forward to the future because we have plans for creating a happier life.
Regardless of whether we're thinking of the past or the future, these thoughts keeps you from being aware of and grounded in the present moment. What is time anyway? Join us for a living and engaging conversation as we explore how we can use time in a way that expands us.

Host Sue Dockerill and Guest LaQuavian Eliacin invite women to unite and share life's ups and downs in a way that touches, moves and inspires resiliency for a mindful life. The past is a so what today in a now what? Listeners call in and let go of the things that keep you stuck. From living in the now anything is possible.
The late General Douglas McArthur once said this "only those are fit to live are not afraid to die". As a former marketing associate for a hospice organization I have met with family members and their dying loved ones and at times I have heard them say I'm afraid to die others said they couldn't wait to see the Lord. The apostle Paul said "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain". He seemed ready to meet his savior and Lord. Yet why is it that we find it very difficult to die to the self-life and live for Christ here on earth? This afterall is where it counts the most right? Righteous living before a Holy God and shining our lights before a lost and dying world. It's really a very difficult and hard teaching isn't it. That the God we seek to serve is asking us to deny ourselves, take up His cross and follow Him. And for each of us that one thing or attitude we struggle with can be the very thing we must place 10 feet under to live a full life in Christ. You know what it is for you, perhaps its selfishness, greed, lust, ography, idolatry, hatred, deceitful desires, sexual immorality just to name a few. So yes in crucifying the flesh with its lust and passions we once gave our lives to Christ in full repentance perhaps been buried in baptism and ressurected with Him into newness of life.....and then comes a word found in Colossians 3:5 which says "put to death therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed which is idolatry. Lord please always remind me when I'm hostile towards you and living outside your will for me. May the power of your Holy Spirit break all chains of sin that seeks to choke my life in you. In my pursuit for holiness help me Lord to turn away from worthless, vainless and fruitless things and put to death those deeds of the flesh that so desperately wants to kill my peace and joy.
