Ty was born in the City of Sumter in South Carolina, where his love for music stemmed. He began doing talent shows at area churches and schools in and around his home town. Ty brought together a quartet named “The Sons of Harmony” where they collectively chose him as lead vocalist. They performed at many talent shows and competitions. After high school he moved to Minnesota to continue his education in the music field at Brown, College while there he joined a trio group and recorded with experienced producers such as; James “Poppa” Guer of “The Time”and others. He also promoted and toured with “The Bad Boyz of R&B V.I.P.” which took him under their wings and taught him about the music business, more than he ever imagined. While interning with this independent music group, Ty began to DJ at “Club Tropix” in downtown Minneapolis with Eric James and obtained notoriety at this club as a rising entertainment genius. After establishing himself at the club as a DJ, Ty began working and developing his self as a solo artist. He then moved back to his hometown in South Carolina and started performing in Columbia, as well as recording at Sumter’s Kiss FM Radio Station. Ty then added to his solo work efforts by winning a promotional bit with the Orlando based reality show “Back to Reality” where he performed weekly at Orlando’s club Blue Room. Ty launched an independent release of the EP album “EarCandy”, which can be found on I tunes, Napster, Rhapsody, and Amazon stores. Ty is a true smooth “crooner like” artist. Ty Hannah, a Mac Law music BMI songwriter has advanced in his career, performing live and opening for major acts such as; Ice-T and DJ Prostyle, as well as, exhibiting his talent at large club venues throughout the country.
Welcome to the Coach Steve Clark Ph.D Show where he aims to encourage, inspire and equip coaches, players and parents who in turn inspire and equip others to promote tennis, foster sportsmanship, and develop greater players and people.
Today's Guest or Topic
Today I will be talking with long time coaching colleague and friend, USC "NCAA Champions 4-Pete" power house Head Coach Peter Smith. A standout player at Long Beach State, tour player and tremendous coach who obviously has a system at USC that creates powerhouse tennis--what better person to glean insight into the current NCAA, youth coming up, US tennis, the pro tour, and all things tennis. He has won 5 NCAA Championshipos in the last 6 years, is a 5 time PAC 12 Coach of the year, and a 2 time ITA National Coach of the Year.
A bit about your host, Coach Steve Clark
Having over 25 years of collegiate coaching experience with teams as high as #16 NCAA and players in the top 5 and former players in the top echelon of the ATP, Coach Clark engages guests and the listeners in an array of topics ranging from momentum management to between point management; from elite coaches and players as guests to the mechanics, tactics and sports psychology for the determined club player. And beyond the normal discussions often around tennis, Dr. Clark will entertain topics as wide as collegiate recruiting, team promotion and fan building for coaches, to topics for the parents-coach dynamic. Having a PhD and numerous other degrees and being a former NCAA All-American and successful player beyond, he understands and has a deep concern for the academic, personal and athletic development of players and students. Thanks for tuning in. Please call in live or leave your questions on email at email@example.com.
When people hear the name Reggie Jackson they usually think about a black man that hits home runs, not a white woman that tells jokes. Originally from Virginia, Reggie moved to Atlanta in 2005, and very quickly found her knack for making people laugh. Aside from performing stand-up, Jackson is also a member of the interactive sketch comedy group, Call Me Up.
The path to comedy that David Young took may be an unusual one, if there is such thing as a usual path to comedy. Originally out of Virginia, David moved to Atlanta in 2011 to pursue his passions in film and sound engineering: behind the scenes of showbusiness. When he took a job running sound at a comedy club, he began to develop his ear for the timing and subject matter that led him to perform on stage. Drawing upon his experiences in international travel and the entertainment industry's hidden quirks, David flashes his unique perspective through the lens of his laid-back, cartoon-like voice.
Tune in each Tuesday night as Reggie and Dave take on the tables of some of the hottest restaurants in Atlanta.
