Christine McDonald is an internationally recognized author and speaker on the social injustices facing underserved populations today. As a survivor of human trafficking, homelessness, and addiction, Christine- now blind as a result of a disease that forced her to choose between her unborn child and her eyesight- is on a mission to bring justice and awareness to the forefront of social change through education and unconditional love.
Christine began life in a small town in Oklahoma, in a very dark and painful household. She felt safest using her own survival skills to live on the streets and ran away for the last time when she was just 15. This began her 17 year journey of homelessness, which comprised of being sex trafficked, drug addiction, prostitution, 103 arrests and 7 prison stints. Finally ready for a better life and barely able to read or write, Christine began a new journey of exiting the life of the streets, only to be challenged again.
Completely blind and eternally vigilant, today Christine uses her life experience and education to work as an advocate for trafficking victims, the homeless, recovering addicts, ex-offenders and disabled populations. Currently living in St Louis, Missouri, Christine is a proud mom of her 7 year old son and practices a loving open adoption with her daughter’s adoptive parents in nearby Kirkwood. Christine is the author of Cry Purple: One Woman’s Journey through Homelessness, Crack Addiction and Prison to Blindness, Motherhood and Happiness and is the founder of www.ChristinesVision.org. She has also been featured locally and nationally on various media outlets, including NBC, CBS, FOX and NPR and sits on multiple local, state-wide and international level boards and committees.
Linda McDonald is a Library Specialist residing in the San Francisco Bay Area and a former radio personality for the nationally syndicated "In the Know" broadcast on the RMG Radio Network. Linda McDonald’s favorite quote is the excerpt from Maya Angelou's book, I Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now :“Each of us has the right and the responsibility to assess the roads which lie ahead, and those over which we have travelled, and if the future road looms ominous or unpromising, and the roads back uninviting, then we need to gather our resolve and carry only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction. If the new choice is also unpalatable, without embarrassment we must be ready to change that as well.” The Perfect Deception is Linda McDonald's first release.

British Crime Author Pat McDonald lives in a rural part of the Midlands, United Kingdom. She has an extensive career working as a researcher, project manager and programme manager within the British National Health Service and in law enforcement and the criminal justice system. Her work encompassed Heart Disease, Mental Illness and learning disability (her formal publications under the name Pat Mounser). Her lifelong ambition has always been to become a writer of fiction; after all fiction is a reflection of life of which she admits she is a long time voyeur. “I am a people watcher, and nothing pleases me more than sitting in a public place observing the world as it passes by – hence my penchant for writing my novels in my favourite coffee shop, where I have met some extraordinary people.” She is now a full time novelist. Her crime trilogy (nicknamed 'The Blue Woods Trilogy' because of an over active imagination at disposal of bodies!) consists of (1) Getting Even: Revenge is best served cold, (2) Rogue Seed and finally (3) Boxed Off. Her fictitious detectives D.I Luke Wariner and D.S Aidey Carter tackle a range of Major Crimes against a background of corruption and deception involving some of their own officers. Boxed Off published in December 2014 brings the plot to its conclusion - or does it? "I only meant to write one book," Pat confesses, "but I have a real difficulty in ending stories!" Well crime does go on!
Her current work in progress is a move to a different genre. A Y.A paranormal thriller about stalking based in the North of Wales, UK, has a hint of historical W.W 1 drama that is surprisingly haunting!
