As silly as 2015 has been for boxing and as frustrating it's been for many fans, there is still hope. The final four months or so of the year look more promising, starting with this weekend's match up between Abner Mares vs Leo Santa Cruz on ESPN, by Premier Boxing Champions. Not to be outdone, at least in the drama department, Shane Mosley is schedule to return after a more than 18-month layoff to face old foe Ricardo Mayorga on a Pay-Per-View show - if it doesn't get shut down by Don King first.
Since Top Men took a week off, there's also a matter of Krzysztof Glowacki's highly entertaining upset win over reigning cruiserweight belt-holder Marco Huck to discuss. There is serious talk of it being the "Fight of the Year" thus far, and it's tough to argue at this point.
Don't forget more random news, like updates on the Miguel Cotto vs Saul "Canelo" Alvarez ticket situation, and the same for Floyd Mayweather vs Andre Berto. There's an update for the Mayweather-Berto undercard, testing policy for Lucas Matthysse vs Viktor Postol, a new foe for Terence Crawford and more.
Through it all, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight CIty's Patrick Connor will try to keep you laughing. Or at least feeling awkward. Thanks for tuning in!

Liz Mayorga is a cartoonist from Southeast Los Angeles. She grew up watching old, Black and White, Mexican films and selling burritos with her family. The films were her inspiration. The tacos and burritos paid for her college. She use to work with teenagers, and they taught her what it means to be brave. Their energy and fearlessness inspired her to write and draw for herself, but she ends up creating for them too.

The guys return to discuss the SummerSlam & NXT fallout in what was an intriguing pay-per-view card. Ed makes his case as to why the Sasha Banks-Bayley title bout was the “Match of the Weekend” as well as the Jon Stewart's nWo moment, while Fuz complains why a guy in semi-retirement is still being pushed, with The Undertaker defeating Brock Lesnar in controversial manner. The guys also crap on the Ricardo Mayorga-“Sugar” Shane Mosley boxing pay-per-view boxing match after the pre-fight “brawl” that broke out when Mayorga allegedly touched Mosley's wife. Finally, Ed gets Fuz's perspective on the Robert Griffin III situation as the relationship between the quarterback and his teammates / coaching staff continues to deteriorate.
Richie Neves joins Team LeftJab Boxing Radio to discuss his upcoming fight against Courtney Pennington next week at The Paramount in Huntington,NY on September 11.We look back at Leo Santa Cruz's impressive win over Abner Mares and the fiasco that was Shane Mosley vs Ricardo Mayorga and get Rich's thoughts on both.We also get Neves' thoughts on a potential showdown between Zab Judah and Tommy Rainone in the near future and Floyd Mayweather vs Andre Berto.
Tonight along with recapping the latest in boxing action, we are joined by former champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley.
Mosley looks to settle once and for all his long standing grudge with Ricardo Mayorga. The two meet on August 29th at the Forum in Inglewood, CA and broadcast on PPV.
On the panel this week, usual hosts Jeandra LeBeauf (@jethang), Ryan Bivins (@ryanBivins) and Ismael AbduSalaam (@ismael_bbm_nyk). Got questions for Mosley, tweet them to us. To call-in to the show, dial 718.508.9852.
Once more Premier Boxing Champions offered up a couple of good fights, this time on ESPN. Undefeated featherweight Leo Santa Cruz proved he was on Abner Mares' level and then some in winning a majority decision. And in the co-feature at Staples Center, super bantamweights Julio Ceja and Hugo Ruiz traded knockdowns in an entertaining battle before the Ceja scored a stoppage in the 5th. Credit where it's due.
That doesn't mean that PBC's schedule is much to get excited about; they for some reason chose Marco Antonio Rubio to step in (and up in weight) against super middleweight Anthony Dirrell on Sunday, though the rematch between bantamweights Jamie McDonnell and Tomoki Kameda on the same card is intriguing. They should have switched it up and had that rematch headlining on CBS.
There's also the matter of another rematch to discuss: Shane Mosley vs Ricardo Mayorga II. Whatever it is that needs to be said about that Pay-Per-View, we'll say it.
Maybe there will be updates on Andre Berto's athleticism, show mascot Victor Ortiz's latest run-in with the law, Adrien Broner's most recent gift, and more. James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Fight City's Patrick Connor will sherpa you through this.
