• Critical Discourse – Black Men, the Mayor of NYC and the NYPD; Viva Cuba?

    in Current Events

The reverberations from the Richmond County Grand Jury’s decision not to indict Daniel Pantaleo, of the NYPD, continue to be felt.

While protests on behalf of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, have been largely peaceful, if not very inconveniencing for New Yorkers, there have been sporadic instances of violence,

During a protest on the Brooklyn Bridge last Saturday, two men, both white, one a college professor, allegedly triggered a melee and assaulted police.

In the meantime, the events and reactions from that fateful day has caused tension between Mayor DiBlasio and the head of the Patrolman’s Benevolent Association, Patrick Lynch, who has accused the mayor of making remarks that are disrespectful of the police.

In fact, some of the NYPD have supported a pledge to disinvite the Mayor to their funerals.

On the international front, Barack Obama has decided to establish diplomatic and economic relations with Cuba, citing that the embargo, in place since 1961, has “not worked”.

Again, as expected, the reactions vary, with intense criticism from Sens. Marco Rubio Robert Menendez, both of whom are of Cuban heritage.

On the other hand, Jimmy Carter praised Obama’s “political courage”. Perhaps he sees this as a sort of redemption from the Mariel Boatlift?

I wonder out loud, what this means for black people economically, with an anticipated influx of Cubans to this country, just 90 miles away.

For those old enough to remember, this conjures memories of the Bay of Pigs (1961) and Cuban Missile Crisis (1962).

By the WAY, Obama says that black people are “better off” (HE said it, NOT me!)

So be prepared to discuss these pointed issues on the Critical Discourse University of the Blogosphere.

The Parker J Cole Show -- Love and Marriage

    in Radio

Love and marriage, love and marriage,
Go together like a horse and carriage.
This I tell ya, brother, you can't have one without the other.

Love and marriage, love and marriage,
It's an institute you can't disparage.
Ask the local gentry and they will say it's elementary.

Try, try, try to separate them, it's an illusion.
Try, try, try and you only come to this conclusion:
Love and marriage, love and marriage

We've all heard the song before, immortalized by the suave tones of Frank Sinatra. A catchy tune that either one completely agrees with or no one agrees with.

After all, we have ample proof from society that love and marriage do not go together like a horse and carriage. In fact, marriage and love seem to be at odds with each other. Divorce rates are skyrocketing, whether Christian or not, in the U. S. In fact, marriage is seen as an unnecessary thing in order for a couple to stay together. After all, surely we don't need a piece of paper to state whether we're committed or not. Monogamy doesn't have to be in the confines of marriage, does it? We all know couples who have been together for years and are committed to each other.

So maybe, love and marriage don't go together.

But, is it all just about love and marriage? Is perhaps our definition of love somewhat skewed? Is love personified in the physical intimacy between man and women?

Let's talk about it on this episode of the Parker J Cole show. You can call in at 646-595-2083, press 1 to be live on air. Or, you can download the WLUV radio mobile app today. Any way you can, tune in

MAHALO MICKEY MOUSE THE OBAMA REPORT

    in Politics Conservative

I couldn't wait to hear what he had to say before he sped away. 17 days in havahee no tax refunds for youi and me.

He proudly called on only leftist women no males and he ran out the clock with mickey mouse gossip. I hear you are moving to Brusells he said to a giggly girl who reminded me of Clinton's harmonica teacher. I was waiting to see what sprouts in Brussels.

Of course he played the race card but left out that a communist mayor in NYC ordered a crackdown on loosie cigarette sellers and the ghetto merchants marched on one police plaza demanding the arrest of big overweight black guys with asthma selling untaxed cigarettes. From The Mayor to top command the word went down to a Black precinct commander to take down Gardens.

The black precinct commander immediately ordered a black female sergeant to take an arrest team to seize the big guy. The film of the takedown has edited out the black police sergeant a female who ordered police officers to arrest Gardens. Gardens died of a heart attack and hour after his arrest.

There is good money in race cards.

Jesse Jackson scored two billion on Toyota when they did an add showing gold teeth and big red lips on a black cutomer.

Now Sony is under intimidation.  they want no trouble with the enemy of Japan,. North Korea..

Maybe if we were North Koreans we would not take to kindly to a movie company making jokes about our sad culture showing the assassination of their leader. If North Korea made a movie about the  assassination of Obama. How many Americans would find that funny?  Sony made a decision based on the number of American lawsuits that could cripple their corporation.  Many actors like George Clowney actually believe they defeated Iran on the Hollywood set. Obama said Sony should have talked to me.Who will threaten Sony when they make Benghazi?
