Fury Road is killing it in theaters. Yet, SO many people I talk to have NEVER SEEN the original trillogy!
Say it ain't so! We're gonna talk all about the original films and dig deep into the post-apocolyptic-amazingness that is the Mad Max universe! The football shoulder-pads, krimped 80's hairstyles, killer boomerang weapons thrown by the Ferral Kid, beefcake-hockey-masked-leaders, nitrus-fueled-muscle-cars and bug-eyed-nasty-car-wrecks ... all that stuff.
Check out the real-life Thunderdome pics in our slide show from Death Guild! David King is the owner of Death Guild night club in SF, he's one of the founders of the Thunderdome at Burning Man!!
We also cover an intriguing theory about Max in this new movie. IS this Max?!

We've all been there before; screaming at the T.V., begging the G.M. to continue the story, agonizing over the end of a tournament, game or book we loved so much. Well tonight, we are going to talk about the the geeky things we miss that left us wanting more.
But of course, that's not all. We begin our new segment with Store owner Scott Hughes from Highlander games/ Fat Moose Comics, who will be on the show to discuss what's hot in comics and give us a sneek peek at some of the new games that should be dropping in the next few months before Gen Con.
And we don't stop there, We also have a review of Mad Max, the Steampunk Worlds Fair, the miniature skirmish game infinity and an update on our pet peeve...Mordheim the video game.
So strap it on or strap in whichever works best for you and let's get this Memorial day edition of the Den...underway!

Nico Rosberg won the Grand Prix in Monaco with the help of a strategic blunder.
Starting on pole was pivotal for Lewis Hamilton, who was almost certain to win the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco. Hamilton maintained the lead throughout the race and had a 19 second lead over teammate Nico Rosberg. No one could have overtaken him on that particular track, and no one could have taken the race from him until, lap 65, when the youngest driver in Formula 1 Max Verstappen ran head on into the barriers while trying to overtake, Romain Grojean.
A virtual safety car (VSC) was in effect which would have maintained the status quo for the position of drivers, but suddenly, an actual safety car was deployed, and the Mercedes strategist called Hamilton in to pit for a tire change. The move was shocking to fans and the media since Hamilton’s tires were holding up just fine, and he had only 14 laps to go. Mercedes called Hamilton in while Vettel who was in third, and Rosberg in second, stayed out and advanced their positions. By the time Hamilton rejoined the group, he was in third, Vettel was ahead of him in second and Rosberg ahead of Vettel in first. Although Hamilton is still leading the drivers, championship, this was a painful loss. Every other word heard around the F1 universe has been “robbed, Hamilton was robbed.” Fans believe Hamilton is rightfully upset that such a blunder by his strategist could cost him so much. He has consistently praised and thanked his team, even when they mess up his pit stops but by all accounts, this was a bridge too far. Now, fans are asking, “Can Lewis trust the people he depends on?” Coming in fourth and fifth were the Red Bulls, Daniil Kvyat and Daniel Ricciardo. Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen held onto sixth and an impressive drive by Force India’s Sergio Perez, and McLaren driver Jenson Button, put them in seventh and eighth, respectively.
Washington Nationals' starter Max Scherzer allowed just one run over eight innings on the mound in Nationals Park and scored the winning run in the Nats' 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. Oh, and Bryce Harper homered again, naturally.
I admit it I am biased I'm a boxing fan. I grew up watching the sport with my conspiracy crazed uncle Glenn. I watched Muhammad Ali at tail end of his great career. I also remember other great fighters such as Sugar Ray Leonard,"Marvelous" Marvin Hagler, Tommy "the Hitman" Hearns, Roberto Duran as well As Larry Holmes and later on Mike Tyson. I used to save my coins to purchase K.O magazine. boxing always appealed to me. It gave me great entertainment there is such a beauty to it especially when I see a boxer get knocked to the canvas and eyes rolled back. MMA on the other hand has started gaining steam its history is not as detailed but, some think it's better than the sweet science. The fights take place in a mad Max thunder dome type of setting chain linked fence octagon. I think it's a fad. I don't get why it gets so much love from crazy fans call in and explain this fad to me
