    Don Jacobson; It's a God Thing 2

    in Spirituality

Todd Weaver speaks with Don Jacobson in this conversation. Don is the author of; When God Makes Lemonade, True Stories that Amaze and Encourage and, along with K-LOVE, It’s a God Thing and It's a God Thing Volume 2. Jacobson’s own story starts in 1980 when he accidentally shot himself in the woods with a 12-gauge shotgun, and laid over nine hours bleeding to death before a friend found him and called for help. Don has worked for 30 years in Christian publishing, including serving as the president and owner of Multnomah Publishers, where he oversaw the production of more than 1,000 titles and the sale of more than 100 million books such as The Prayer of Jabez, Redeeming Love, I Kissed Dating Goodbye, For Women Only, and worked with authors from Dr. James Dobson, Henry Blackaby, Max Lucado, Andy Stanley, Robin Jones Gunn and many more. Don says it can be easy to take things for granted. From the sunrise, to everyday angels, to our very existence, God is all around us every day if we just take the time to look and notice. He says as long as we keep sharing miracle stories with each other, there will be more miracle books.  You can learn more about Don HERE and follow him on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

    Taylor's Detroit Sports Show - Sun., January 25th, 2015 11:30 PM - 12:00 AM EST

    in Sports

2 Detroit Lions players (Golden Tate III and Matthew Stafford) make the Pro Bowl. How did they do individually? And no, I won't waste time talking about the football deflations with the New England Patriots, Marshall Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks, or Super Bowl XLIX, which starts next week.

The Red Wings have won 5 in a row, but they should still cut ties with defenseman Jonathan Ericsson. He has played a heck of a lot worse than everyone else on this roster, and he's still a virus the way I see it. I explained it on my own website blog a few days ago. And no, I won't talk much about the NHL All-Star Game, especially considering the fact that there were no Red Wings players in it, although I would've preferred Gustav Nyquist and Tomas Tatar to be there.

The Pistons lose Brandon Jennings, which is a devastating blow, but that is NOT their biggest problem. What IS their biggest problem is their defense, and that's been their biggest problem all season. They've given up over 100 points per game all season thus far. They need to stop worrying so much about Brandon Jennings and just play tougher defense.

Why the Spartans and Wolverines will both still make the NCAA Tournament in 2015. Michigan State is 13-7, and Michigan is 12-8. Neither of them will win either of the 2015 Big Ten titles (regular season or tournament)

The Tigers lose Max Scherzer to the Washington Nationals on a 7-year, $210 million contract, which very well decreases their chances of winning the World Series in 2015, but Justin Verlander is getting "better than ever".

Episode 100: Max Scherzer is not a Met

    in Baseball

In the "Armando Bleepin' Benitez" edition, since we've spent the last 99 of these talking about the Mets, we decide to mix things up and talk about the Nationals. Also, the Mets didn't do anything last week. The Nationals did sign Max Scherzer, so Greg and Jeffrey discuss if it's a good deal for the Nats, and what it might mean for the 2015 (and beyond) Mets. We also have your e-mails on Matz vs. Syndergaard, Beane vs. Alderson, why the Wilpons are still here, and we'll try to talk you off the ledge so you are around for the next 100 (or 104?) of these. Cheers!

The Ed & Fuz Show Episode 53

    in Sports

The two bammas return after a long hiatus with lots to talk about. First up, they discuss Belichick's deflated balls as the New England Patriots head to the Super Bowl to face the Seattle Seahawks and the Legion of Boom. Considering no one cares about the Pro Bowl, Ed thinks deflated footballs is the best thing to happen to the NFL. Ed and Fuz will gloat as Paquiao-Mayweather will yet again pass everyone by, as rumors circulate "Money" will battle Miguel Cotto and Pacman will move on to Amir Khan. The fellas will like discuss the rise of Conor McGregor, the fall of Jon Jones and this week's bout between Alexander Gustafson and Anthony "Rumble" Johnson. Given time Ed will complain about the uselessness of the NBA All-Star game while Fuz spikes his deflated football after his Washington Nationals signed Max Scherzer to a huge deal.
