“The Beatitudes tells us what our Attitude should Be” Matthew 5:1-12

    in The Bible

    Inspirational  Wednesday – Hosted by Dianne Adams – Wednesday, March 4m 2015 @ 8:30 P.M.

“The Beatitudes tells us what our Attitude should Be”

    Matthew 5:1-12

The Sermon on the Mount covers several different topics. If we were to summarize the Sermon on the Mount in a single sentence, it would be something like this: How to live a life that is dedicated to and pleasing to God, free from hypocrisy, full of love and grace, full of wisdom and discernment. Each of the "blessed' statements describes a person who puts God and other's interest above his or her own interest. We cannot be blessed if we live selfishly.

The beatitudes don’t show man how to be saved, but rather describe the characteristics of one who has been saved.

Come and join us in the comfort of you home.

In this year's mock, Fairburn is handling the odd picks while Kadar takes care of the evens. What will Fairburn do with the Buccaneers at No. 1?

They'll also go over the blockbuster trade between the Eagles and Bills that sent running back LeSean McCoy to Buffalo and Kiko Alonso to Philadelphia. How will that change how those two teams run their draft? Listen to the latest episode to the MtD podcast to find out.

    in Religion

Thank The Lord for another opportunity to share his truth and love.  Join in thise evening as we continue in the Book of Matthew starting with the 19 chapter.  You're invited to receive a blessing!

    Matthew 19:1 And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;

2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.

3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?

8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.

The Porch - The Straight and Narrow Path

    in Spirituality

Tonight we look at the Lord's admonition to enter through the narrow gate in Matthew 7:13-14.

Getting back to basics by examining the Word of God and, especially, the Book of Acts Church, The Porch Online Bible Study is taking a deeper look into how the early church served the Lord.

Our desire is to find and restore the priesthood of the Believer and the world shaking influence the Early Church had. By delving deeper into scripture we will find the Church the Lord intended and not the one man created.

The Church Age is not over and therefore what took place in the Upper Room is as much for now as it was on the Day of Pentecost. If you know that there is more to your spiritual walk with Yeshua/Jesus and you want more then you are welcome to join us on this journey as we get back to basics!

The Porch is an outreach of Solomon's Porch Inc. http://www.onsolomonsporch.org.  If you have any questions please visit the site and use the comment button.
