The Cubs took 2 out of 3 against the Rockies, thanks to a dominant performance on the mound from Jon Lester. As they head to Milwaukee for a 4 game series vs the Brewers, their bats and bullpen still need help. With the trade deadline one day away, other teams are making moves while the Cubs stand pat.
The Bears began training camp today hoping to build on the chemistry that old teammates and new built during minicamps and OTAs. Can John Fox unite this ragtag group and bring them back to Soldier Field ready to surprise the NFL?
Tonight I'll also begin taking a closer look at the NFC North rivals, starting with the Minnesota Vikings. What can we expect from the purple and gold in 2015?

Oh man where do we start this week? Tom Brady suspension and the people who support him, the Mets had a trade for Gomez didn't pull Florez till late in the game even though everyone knew and then the trade didn't go through, hysterical. What will the Yankees do with 1 day left on the trade deadline, the rest of the MLB trade deadline deals and finally NFL camps have open. Plus Craig's Deep Thought on Ray Rice and of course Closing Time.
The trade deadline looms and Papelbon was already dealt. Hamels looks like the next deal going to happen and we will discuss them both. Who else could be traded? We will also look at the national trade market at deals that are happening and players becoming available. Also Sean Coutourier signed a deal with the Flyers keeping him under team control for 6 years. Plus maybe we will get into a debate on politics if we have time.

Matt Chatham has strong opinions about the NFL and for good reason - he is a three time superbowl winning linebacker from the New England Patriots - yep those same Patriots who are facing four games without star quarterback Tom Brady.
Matt holds no punches in this interview - which was scheduled before the news about NFL Commishioner Rodger Goodell upholding the suspension. Now once again the NFL players, staffs, and fans enter training camps with off-field drama.
This is an episode you don't want to miss.
Matt is also the founder of FootballbyFootball.com a site with dives head first into the world of football from the men who played at professional levels. He also happens to have a podcast on BlogTalkRadio.com by the same name.
The Cubs got back in the win column with a dramatic 9-8 win over the Colorado Rockies Monday night after being swept by the Phillies over the weekend. As the MLB trade deadline approaches, where do the Cubs need the most help, and where might they find it? As the Bears begin training camp later this week, their media and fans have varying opinions on how many wins this team can muster in 2015. Vegas has their over/under at 7 wins. Which side are you on?
