Dave was born in 1965 in Lowell Massachusetts, where he still resides. As a young child, the television show “In Search Of” with Leonard Nemoy sparked his interest in Cryptozoology. After a longtime interest and reading information on the internet in the 90’s his eyes were opened to the fact that it wasn’t just a West Coast phenomena. The book Monsters of the North Woods by Paul Bartholomew really hit home and he realized that New York and New England has had a long history amongst native people and early explorers involving the Sasquatch in the Northeast.
In 2005 Dave went from being an avid reader to someone who wanted to be more hands on so he attended a BFRO expedition in Whitehall, NY. After talking to several local eye witnesses, one being a police officer, about their experiences, he was completely hooked. This started his love of the outdoors having never experienced hiking and camping growing up in a city environment. As an adult Dave was able to travel the East Coast, where he started investigating the sighting reports in his area.
After the BFRO Expedition he joined the NESRA Research group and attended several expeditions with them in the years since. One of them being part of the group that was used in a Monsterquest episode “Bigfoot in New York”. In 2008, Dave attended one of the first expeditions that included several different research groups of the East Coast in Virginia. These groups investigated continuously for two weeks straight. Since then, he has been to the West Coast multiple times. Dave has made great friends from his time in California and Washington State as well as many more all across the country. Since April 2012 he has been researching with Squatchachusetts where he is currently active in Massachusetts.
On an October night in 1993, at one of the campgrounds dotting Florida's Gulf Coast, ex-con Eddie Lee Sexton told his daughter Pixie to silence her crying baby. Incredibly, the young mother smothered the helpless infant, stuffed it's tiny corpse into a gym bag, and then buried it in a shallow grave, less than a month later. Eddie Lee ordered his son Willie to strangle the baby's bereaved father during a family picnic. Sexton was priming his third victim when the FBI and Florida Cops finally caught up with him. Authorities soon learned that these killings were the final heinous acts of a sadistic, incestuous monster whose reign of psychological and sexual violence had began back in Ohio. For years, Eddie Lee whipped his children daily, raped his daughters, abused his sons and even fathered three inbred Sexton babies. But in early 1992, after teenaged Machelle Sexton's courageous flight to authorities, the walls of silence surrounding this house of horrors crumbled. With terrifying detail, Lowell Cauffel takes us into a shocking world of abuse, incest and family murder-a world ruled by a psychopath whose ability to manipulate his children produced one of the most sensational cases in true crime history. HOUSE OF SECRETS-Lowell Cauffiel

Whither Massachusetts? We'll look at who'll be the new governor and what that means. Can the nwe governor create and drive aq platform and vision. Instead, will the stolid legislature creep along as it is wont?
This election was not about the big issues and pathfinding in the end. The visionaries and big-change sorts were cast aside by both parties and in the run from the indy candidates. Instead, the top spot came down to two predictible and status-quo types.
Will think about what needs to be done and if the new folk are up to the task.
Host Kevin Willett is joined by Cam Preciado from Christian Hill Studios and Design 4 Lowell joins the show. Listen in to learn more about his design services and the Best of Lowell Awards. To learn more visit www.christianhillstudios.com
With my co-hosts Heidi and Dave on a well-deserved vacation, frequent caller Dave Hamilton - a/k/a Dave From Massachusetts - will be my guest host on Tuesday.
This episode will be the first of a long line of oral history conversations I've been wanting to do for a while, talking to ordinary people about their experiences and how they remember and were effected by histoical events that happened in their lifetimes.
Please call 347-850-8445 to join the conversation.
About our guest:
Dave Hamilton calls himself the ultimate baby boomer, Vietnam War boy. Raised in Indiana, the Philippines, Hong Kong, and New Jersey. In 1969 Dave graduated from Villanova University, "Magna Cum Barely".
After the US Army as a medic who was lucky and avoided Vietnam, Dave moved to Massachusetts and held a variety of sales and marketing jobs. In the early nineties he returned to Hong Kong with his wife and family, and moved back to Massachusetts in 1994. Dave retired a little over a year ago, working part-time which he believes beats both not working and working full time.
Dave's politics are clearly left of center since being a Goldwater Girl. He has voted for GOP governors but not recently. Never voted for a GOP presidential candidate. Did vote for Ed Brooke, only GOP senate vote.
Dave considers his public school teacher children his greatest accomplishment.
