The Mysteries of Mary Magdalene Revealed

    in Spirituality

In these tumultuous times are you looking for inspiration? Do you want to feel wonder and joy? Join Supernatural Girlz Patricia Baker and guest co-host Patricia Kirkman as they speak with channel and author Gloria Amendola. Gloria Amendola is an intuitive who has a passion for esoteric knowledge and dream language. She is a trained facilitator, accomplished shamanic drummer, and works with a variety of disciplines in her teaching. Gloria has been channeling Mary Magdalene for over 13 years. Mary Magdalene is often thought of as the second-most important woman in the New Testament after Mary, the mother of Jesus. The Magdelene is not who you’ve been told she was, but rather a woman of extraordinary spiritual power who would be considered, in her time, as the equal to Jesus. Mary says she and Jesus feel our audience is ready to receive these empowering teachings - the teachings of their once-secretive inner circle. She explains the differences between the fabled civilizations of Egypt and Atlantis, the Mystery Schools, the process of initiation into expanded awareness, and how we can begin to learn the ancient wisdom of the Mysteries. Find out why Mary believes the time is now for people to rediscover these incredible teachings! Don’t miss this chance to hear from Mary Magdalene!

    Blessed Mary of Pisa

    in Religion

Rebroadcast of the long running radio program, "The Ave Maria Hour", a presentation of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. www.AtonementFriars.org

Blessed Mary of Pisa -- More often than not, the women saints that the Church venerates have been cloistered virgins. Blessed Mary of Pisa also founded a religious order, but like St. Elizabeth Seton, she did so as a widow. Unlike our American saint, she had been married twice and borne many children.

Catherine Mancini belonged to a distinguished family in Pisa, Italy, in the days when the great Italian cities were engaged in civil war against each other. The story is told of her that when she was only five, she had a sort of vision of the torturing of one Peter Gambacorta. He had been accused of political conspiracy and sentenced to be hanged. The legend says that the child, on experiencing the vision, prayed so hard for Peter that the rope by which he was being hanged broke, whereupon the judges commuted his death penalty. Our Lady then appeared to Catherine, the story continues, and told her to say seven Our Fathers and Hail Marys for Gambacorta every day, for he was going to become her benefactor in the years to come.

Deepertruth: Journey with Mary : Kibeho, Rwanda (Part Three)

    in Religion

We return to Africa one last time for the dramatic and chilling finale of the Virgin Mary's appearances in Rwanda.

On July 2, 2001, the Holy See released the declaration of Bishop Augustin Misago of Gikongoro, on the Apparitions that took place in 1982-83 in Kibeho. Here are some excerpts:

“Two study commissions, one of doctors and one of theologians, were immediately set up by the local Bishop; they have been at work since April 1982... The advanced state of the study commissions' work now offers sufficient elements to allow competent ecclesiastical authorities to pronounce definitively on this question.

“As a result, Bishop Augustin Misago of Gikongoro, who represents this authority, has published his declaration concerning the definitive judgement on the Apparitions of Kibeho, Rwanda. This important event in the history of the Diocese of Gikongoro, as in the life of the Church in Rwanda, took place on 29 June 2001, on the solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul, during a solemn Mass concelebrated in the cathedral of Gikongoro. All the Catholic bishops of Rwanda, with the Apostolic Nuncio of Kigali, were present...

“The Bishop declared: Yes, the Virgin Mary appeared at Kibeho on November 28, 1981, and in the months that followed. There are more reasons to believe in the Apparitions than to deny them... The Apparitions of Kibeho are now officially recognized... The name given to the Marian sanctuary at Kibeho is"Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows".

Nobel Prize Nominee Mary Elizabeth Thunder - Peace Elder - Spiritual Leader-

    in Religion

    Mary Elizabeth Thunder (website)(facebook)

    -Peace Elder-Spiritual Leader-

    See Thunder's full bio here

In 2005, Mary Elizabeth Thunder was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, as part of 1,000 Women of Peace. The nominated women commit themselves daily to the cause of peace and justice, often under the most difficult circumstances. They call for reconciliation and organize peace negotiations, they rebuild what has been destroyed in villages and cities, they fight against poverty and create new sources of income. They struggle for access to clean water, land and other resources. They care for those infected with HIV and give war orphans a home. They denounce violations of human rights and publicly condemn all forms of torture. They silently protest in public places and seek solutions to all forms of aggression.

They work in their own villages and regions, in organizations and universities. Some are members of their governments or are active on the international scene. To be nominated they had to fulfill stringent criteria, such as: sustain ability of their work, integrity, the inclusion of all parties to a conflict, or being part of a wide network. The 1000 women are leaders, they are beacons of hope for all people, they are demanding and do not give up

    Between Two Worlds: Mary Lia

    in Spirituality

“I’m not dead, not really dead. Not like people think.” Such were the words of Mary Lia's beloved 19-year-old daughter Juliette through a medium after she transitioned from cancer.  The recently released book Between Two Worlds shares the poignant words of both mother and daughter, beautifully unfolded in three sections: the first, the journals and poems of Juliette in the last 7 years of her life; the second, her mother Mary's reflections and recollections; the third, the story of what a medium had to convey when contacting Juliette.

Mary Lia is a retired chiropractor who lives with her husband and son in New York.  She currently works with Special Education students at the Middle School level.  An avid runner, Mary has completed two marathons.  She is often seen pushing her handicapped Australian Shepherd in a bike stroller.  She and her husband are motorcycle enthusiasts who have participated in the legendary Sturgis, SD rally.
