Eddie "A&R Eddie" Fourcell is currently head of A&R for Mary J. Blige's Matriarch Entertainment/Universal Music Group and head of 4Cell Entertainment, where he manages up and coming songstress Maryland Lavon.
His rise to a career as an A&R started in high school at the age of 17 years old when he was rewarded an internship with Island Def Jam through the schools internship program. At the time, the label was home to superstar heavyweights Jay Z, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, Fabolous, and Young Jeezy, just to name a few. After making several connections and networking within the company, Eddie was able to partner with industry heavyweights that saw management opportunities for artist/producers/songwriters and after graduating from College, was asked to intern for Mary J. Blige's newly created record label, Matriarch Entertainment. In less than a year of interning there, he was asked by CEO and manager/husband to Mary J. Blige to work as lead A&R on Ms. Blige's 11th studio album, My Life II: The Journey Continues (2011).
While at the company he has worked as an A&R on Ms. Blige's Think Like A Man 2 Soundtrack and Mary's most recent critically acclaimed masterpiece The London Session. He has also worked on projects for label artist Starshell.
A&R Eddie's ability to spot raw talent and develop them makes him amongst the hottest A&R's making a meaningful impact within the music industry.

Don't miss the hour we're spending with two New York Times best-selling novelists and a Common Queen. We'll also give away the books we're featuring, as we talk with:
Marisa de los Santos. Her newly released novel The Precious One tells the story of half-sisters Taisy and Willow, told from their alternating points of view. Brought together by their father, it's a book about family secrets, lost love and dangerous obsession.
Mary Norris. A copy editor at The New Yorker for more than 30 years, her warm and humorous memoir Between You & Me: Confessions of a Comma Queen is not so much about a need for perfect grammar, but about a love for words and language.
Charles Finch. His stand-alone novel The Last Enchantments came out in paperback earlier this month. In it, a Yale grad whose work in politics leads to disappointment finds himself caught in a whirlwind of unexpected friendships, and romantic entanglements, that threaten his safe plans.
Hosted by Cindy Wolfe Boynton. Visit the Literary New England blog for more book giveaways, author talk, event information and to listen to past episodes -- book-tatstic updates posted regularly!
Elizabeth recognizes the unique blessedness of Mary (blessed are you among women) because of the child she bears (blessed is the child you will bear). The remark is rhetorical and should not be read as if Mary is the most blessed of all women. It means she is "very pleased" (compare Judg 5:24; Song 1:8). The attitude of Elizabeth is representative of what Luke desires in any believer. What a joy to share in the events associated with Jesus. What a joy to share life with him

Although she grew up in Pentecostal churches and got her singing start there, she says, "I wasn't a Christian when I was a child, I just went to church. I understood from childhood that there was something really big watching over me and it was God. And I was afraid to steal and lie. I was afraid to do anything that was wrong. I always got this feeling like, 'Uh oh.' But I understand better now who God is now that I've become a woman and a Christian."
She went on to say, "It was later [in life], when I gave my life to Jesus Christ, that I found out who I am. I'm a child of God. God is my mommy, my daddy. That's the only thing that'll keep my head up. If I don't remember who I am in him, I'm done....When I became a Christian, it was something I had to do because my whole life as a young adult was so bad. Things were just so bad that when I decided to make a change in my life, I went to God about my life. And he led me to other Christians, like my husband, like my pastor. And I started studying the Word. Now I get it. I understand it more, through the Word. That's why I know God is love."
Her name is Mary J. Blige.
Born March 29,1990 to Cheryl Denise Wynn and Robert Kenneth Wynn, Sr., Brittni C. Wynn, better known by Blayze or Ladii Blayze, has always had a passion for music even as a small child. Interested in all different types of music from Hip-Hop to Country and R&B/Soul to Rock. Her favorite artists are 2pac, Mary J Blige, August Alsina, K Michelle, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Kem, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, Luke Bryant, Paramore, and Evanescence… just to name a few. Major inspirations are artists such as Mary J Blige, K Michelle, and August Alsina, because she can relate to all of these artists in certain ways. Always putting God first and family second, her most important goal to her is becoming successful and to be able to take care of her family. Brittni’s parents split and divorced when she was only 12 years old. This hit her in the hardest way and she turned to music as an outlet. Watching the struggle of her mother being a single parent and having to support four kids on her own, Brittni got her first job at the age of 16. Her mother is her main inspiration, along with her father and siblings, as well as her niece and four nephews. In 2012, at the young age of 22, Brittni became legally blind. This journey has not been easy for her, however she is determined to make it for her family.
In 2013, Ladii Blayze released her first EP, under Metal 2 Music Records. She continues to work hard and put out music and is planning to release “I Am Blayze,” the album, in March 2015. She is an MTV.com/VH1 artist. Currently you can find her music being played on Spotify, Beats Music, iTunes, SoundCloud, YouTube, Rdio and all of the other fine digital download and streaming sites.
From emotional to the mental to the inspirational, I don’t stop. I don’t break. I prosper. I soar and Fly high. For…I AM BLAYZE.
