If These Things Be So with Rose Hart: I Know You're Down, Part II

    in Christianity

Black Squirrels Network presents..."If These Things Be So". This is a discussion on the word of the biblical God from a modern, Christian perspective based in the reality of the natural world. Rose Hart provides a unique viewpoint on spirituality, Christianity and science through scripture. Last week's episode dealt with being down and how you get up. Rose shared her perspective by telling us the story of King David and his actions involving bearing false witness against others to gain favor, and how his actions lead to hardship for others. How it impacted their lives and how we can use the wisdom of these lessons to help us in our lives. We welcome Rose back as a guide and conduit to the word. This show is designed to help bridge the gap that many may have in reconciling the natural world with the gospel…Please join us this Saturday for the live broadcast and you may contribute to the conversation by calling 657-383-0361. The conversation continues at 11:00AM PST/2:00PM EST on 02/28/2015.

    Epiphany's House Welcomes Wil Gibson...

    in Poetry

There are some artists who are just rooted in your soul..who make no bullshyt excuses.....who just get right down to it...Wil Gibson is THAT artist... I promise..

Wil Gibson was born from a good idea and a bottle of bourbon. He was raised in some of the poorest communities northern Illinois and eastern Arkansas have to offer. He now lives in Portland (the one in Maine) and likes it a lot there (you probably would too). He writes too many love poems and not nearly enough of his novel. A proud (mistake prone) father of four who tries real hard and is still growing up.
He has performed with or opened for; Regie Gibson (no relation), Charlie Neville, Brother Ali, mybrightestdiamond, Toki Wright, Patricia Smith, and Kurtis Blow (among others) in dive bars, high schools, colleges, poetry slams, libraries, living rooms, restaurants, prisons, coffee houses, and churches from Bellingham, Washington to Boston, Massachusetts and beyond.
He was runner up at the 2010 and 2011 Arkansas Grand Slam, audience favorite 2010 Arkansas Grand Slam, three time (2008-2010) Portland, Maine/Port Veritas Grand Slam Champion, 2010 New Hampshire/Slam Free or Die Grand Slam Champion, has represented Portland, Maine six times (2008-2012, 2014) at the National Poetry Slam, including the 2011 team that made semifinals.
He has toured nationally solo and as part of:
Uncomfortable Laughter (w/ Beau Williams, Kait Rokowski, and Ryan McLellan)
guyslikeyou (w/ Beau Williams and Ryan McLellan)
is an honorary member of Chicago 4 Star Poetry(w/ Billy Tuggle, Andi Kauth, Rik Vazquez, Melanie “George” Decelles, Ashley Hart, and Patricia Smith)
and is a founding member of the Port Veritas artist collective.
He likes people and dogs a lot. He would like to pet your dog, talk to you a few minutes, and possibly give you a hug if that’s ok.

Episode 60: Interview with Author Matthew Iden

    in Writing

I first learned about Matt Iden via an article picked up by the Passive Voice Blog. I knew the minute I finished reading it that I wanted to talk to him, and I was so right. Matt is down-to-earth and forthright about book publishing, but he's also brilliant in his approach: keep it simple, achievable, and intelligent. It will come as no surprise to anyone familiar with his work that he was recently picked up by Thomas and Mercer, Amazon Publishing's mystery imprint. Matt stopped by the podcast to talk about his mystery series featuring Marty Singer, book marketing, and why we shouldn't pay for reviews.

    in Spirituality

Please join me this Saturday Feb 28, 2015 where I will be doing Angel Readings with Sacred Geometry.   You can call in and speak with me LIVE and find out what symbols are important for you as well as what the Angels want to communicate with you.   IF you don't know what Sacred Geometry is, I invite you to listen to my show:  SACRED GEOMETRY    .  Sacred Geometry is described as the language of light and the measuring stick of the entire universe.   Everything around us can be described with basic mathematical shapes and proportions that are considered divine.

I will be using Francene Hart's "Sacred Geometry " Oracle deck along with my own angelic messages to assist you along with anything else that wants to come through! If you don't know what an Angel Reading is, it's a little bit of Tarot, Psychic work, Healing, and Mediumship.  I hope you can join me @ 1PM Pacific Time this Saturday.   For more information what I do at Ascension Magic or if you would like to schedule a professional session, please visit my website: at http://www.ascensionmagic.com   I also invite you to please "follow" my show for updates on the latest shows.

Wrestling Unwrapped- Ep. 2: Shawn vs. Bret

    in Wrestling

After a successful first show (editor's note: define "successful"), our hosts decide to finally cover the the second DVD from the first show... just one week later...

For week two, join Patrick and Harry as they discuss the WWE half of their first set of shows, WWE Greatest Rivalries: Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart.

After Patrick screwed Patrick by messing with the rating system, he and Harry will debut their totally clean show to the world for all to hear (hopefully).

All three discs will be covered during this show, from the over 2 hour sit down interview with Shawn and Bret, hosted by Jim Ross, to all 7 matches on Disc 2, to the legendary Iron Man match on Disc 3, along with Shawn and Bret's inductions into the Vince McMahon Likes You Club... I mean the WWE Hall of Fame.

Also, be sure to listen in on Patrick and Harry's several discussions about this rivalry, what they remember from it, along with this set as a whole, and the amazing one set series, and should there be more "Greatest Rivalry" sets?

Of course, don't miss Cash and Trash, where Patrick and Harry talk about their favorite aspets of the set, be it a match, or a part of the interview, along with their worst part of the set. This is surely to be a more argumentative episode than week one (some of us think Shawn is right).

Make sure you don't screw yourself and miss this episode, as our humble hosts continue t give their take on the best and worst of Wrestling DVDs.
