The inspirational Marta Waterman will share uplifting music and insights for a special evening of reflection and joy. Grammy Award winner Larry Seyer will stop by for a portion of the broadcast to talk about his musical collaborations with Marta.
Marta is the author of Dream, Believe, Create ~ How To Be a Life Magician, in which she shares ideas on how to create a more satisfying and peaceful life, based on her own experiences. We can all create magic in our lives by analyzing our dreams and beliefs, clearing away negative concepts and focusing on positive goals. Along with the book is a deck of 32 cards, each with a helpful thought taken from the book. Together, the book and cards can help you create the reality you desire.
I'm Dreaming is Marta's beautiful, dreamy CD, with Marta singing and playing piano and synthesizer. Marta also has new music coming out soon in collaboration with Larry.
Both Marta and Larry often accompany David Wilcock at Divine Cosmos Convergence Conferences. Marta happens to be the mother who brought David into this world, and she will talk about her experiences parenting both of her sons David and Michael. Larry is the winner of 9 Grammy awards and collaborated with David Wilcock to create the transcendent "Wanderer Awakening" musical journey.

Our guests this morning are Kevin Sousa and Michael Collins.
Dr. Michael Collins is a paddler, surfer, artist and psychologist who lives, works, and plays in Hermosa
Beach. About 3 years ago, an oil company began a campaign that would attempt to convince the citizens
of Hermosa Beach to lift their current ban on oil and gas drilling. The notion of allowing a 34 well oil and
gas drilling operation to set up camp in the middle of Hermosa Beach was seen as a direct threat to
everything that his community stood for, which is why Mike and his friends formed ‘Stop Hermosa
Beach Oil’, and united under the banner, "Keep Hermosa Hermosa." Michael believes this grass roots
effort has captured the spirit of Hermosa Beach with passion, creativity, heart and endurance.
Kevin Sousa is the co-founder of Keep Hermosa Hermosa. He lives and works in Hermosa Beach as a
psychotherapist. Kevin is also a musician who performs regularly in and around the South Bay. In
addition, Kevin is an avid waterman.
This morning, we’re going to discuss Measure O which is on the ballot next month and proposes oil
drilling in Hermosa Beach. This is an intensely controversial subject and today we’ll talk about why
drilling in Hermosa should not be allowed.

Andys Bands And Muscians Night
Markus K was born in Holland, as Marcus Antonius Koehorst. He moved to England in his early twenties where he spent half his life, fronting various bands and groups, most notably GLASS and GILES. GLASS was signed to Pete Waterman’s company PWL, but they quickly fell out. “I didn’t like his Hitler boots”, says Markus. The band was one of the very few who successfully sued Pete Waterman. “After that, I vowed to do things on my own terms.”
Audrey Williams is an artist that inspires/nurtures the depth of your inner most being, has deep commitment to musical integrity and lyrical honesty. Her music can be described as melodic songbird with vivid imagery, metaphor analogy; there’s no pretense, no hiding. She’s upfront, in-your-face always real, using her own distinctive “poetry” to breathe life into words, digging inside to bring forth the accompanying emotion. Audrey’s authenticity is what separates her from various artists.

Something I've been doing ALL of my life is striving to accomplish the next best thing... this short video http://youtu.be/HdqVF7-8wng (approx. 2 minutes) from a speech by Philosopher Alan Watts who was born in 1915 emphasizes the need for us to stop, take a moment and evaluate life. Something I've been advocating for since starting the Time to Play project.
Join me (Doreen Guma) and members of the Time to Play Foundation's team Michael Waterman and Rebecca Norrington for this week's Empower Half Hour to discuss how important it is to enjoy the present. After all, every moment truly is a gift.
