Kenneth Jennings CEO & President, Mr. Rekey

    in Business

Kenneth's business sense and entrepreneurial passion began early - he started his first business at 13 years old selling garden seeds door-to-door. This adventure literally planted the seed that led him to start Texas Rekey Locksmith Service from the trunk of his car in 1995. The company was rebranded as Mr. Rekey Locksmith® Services when it expanded outside of Texas 10 years later.

Seeking out an inventive approach, Kenneth's vision was to provide reliable residential and commercial locksmith services at a straightforward all-inclusive price, and focus on rekeying rather than replacing locks, thereby saving the customer time and money. Kenneth revolutionized and transformed an industry that was previously known for inconsistencies by creating a reputable brand identity and multiple opportunities for market growth to its franchisees.

Today, Kenneth is a hands-on CEO, leading a unique culture of locksmith professionals who are easily recognizable by their clean, uniformed and branded appearance. He wears many hats at the company, one of which is franchise owner and also franchisee to over 20 Mr. Rekey territories. Based on his extensive, real-world operations and growth, Kenneth is able to provide franchisees a comprehensive business platform that includes everything from back-office operations, marketing methodology, company certified training, a proven support team, and industry specific tools and equipment.

During the last 35 years, Kenneth has founded more than 40 businesses and spent time studying the success of other business leaders in thriving industries and applying them to his own business ventures. He also mentors numerous entrepreneurs in his hometown of Austin, Texas.
Kenneth has two children who both play an active role in his organizations. He enjoys traveling with his wife Vicki and playing tennis.

Pharma to Dharma: From Pharmaceuticals Back to Nature

    in Health

Today Nick & Dr. Joanna will be talking about her initiative called, "Pharma to Dharma: From Pharmaceuticals Back to Nature." The Wetsern model of quick fix medicine is just not working, for doctors and patients alike.  Patients are finally realizing that the "quick fix" really isn't giving them the desired result or cure that they are looking for, and doctors are starting to feel that this is not the way to truly practice medicine so that healing on all levels can be invited to occur.

Adverse Drug reactions are the 4th leading cause of death and pharmaceutical companies still continue to rake in billions by marketing and selling disease.  How do they do that?  By creating new diagnoses that fit into the effects of the drug that is already on the market, but that is usually close to patent expiration. This occurs particularly with psychotropics - drugs for anxiety, insomnia, depression and a variety of other psychiatric illnesses. Many people do not realize that sometimes the side effects of these drugs are exactly that which they are designed to treat.

How does the food industry fit in to all of this?  And it's supposedly monitored by the FDA.  But there's a reason it's called the F D A.

So what can we do as healthcare practitioners and consumers of medical care to combat the collusion amongst big pharma, medicine, the mainstream media, and the food industry to keep us fat, sick and dying? Find out in what promises to be a very interesting discussion.

Pharma to Dharma 4-hour Workshops on 17th & 21st May 2015 and will be offered regularly. See more on the Kalyana Centre homepage.

    Natural Strength Night

    in Motivation

TONIGHT our guest is Roger La Pointe. I’ve known Roger for almost 20 years… he was just out of college and working for York Barbell when I first met him. He has a lot of interesting stories about his time at York … we’ll be talking them tonight.

Roger practices what he preaches and is pound for pound one of the strongest guys around in NATURAL strongman competitions and Olympic lifting. He has overhead pressed … atlas stones … heavier than his bodyweight.

Roger is the CEO and owner of Atomic Athletic a great company that was a sponsor at several of my Capital City Strength Clinics.

Atomic Athletic makes some of the toughest, hardcore strength training equipment you will find.  I’ve bought many items … from Atomic Athletic, including 4 Granite stones, … Farmers Walk utensils, … thick bars, … chalk and many other items.

If you want to buy Strongman Stones, be sure to get them from Roger. Atomic Athletic Stones are chiseled out of GRANITE and are not the cheap stones on the market that are made of CONCRETE and crack and break when you drop them. Everything from Atomic Athletic is TOP Quality. Be sure to visit Rogers website at Atomic Athletic.com

Roger, its great to have you on the show and WELCOME to NATURAL STRENGTH NIGHT.
