Early in his career, he seemed bound for the life of the typical dime-a-dozen character actor, but fate clearly had other plans for the dashing, magnificent A MARTINEZ. And when his destiny finally revealed itself --- in the form of a true-blue good guy cop called Cruz Castillo on NBC's singularly offbeat soap opera Santa Barbara --- Martinez suddenly became one of the most beloved and most popular performers in all of television.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Martinez is keeping busy these days on both sides of the camera: as an actor, with a recurring role on A&E's hit series Longmire and a supporting role in the latest Chucky film, and as a writer/director, with his latest project, a heartfelt family affair entitled Before Your Eyes. And he's stopping by the Buzz to discuss his decision to leap into the director's chair for the first time, as well as his adventures in daytime television, and why HE mourned the loss of his character Cruz every bit as much as we, his ardent fans, did!
Investigative reporter Marcy Wheeler and political & social commentator Gaius Publius, offer a counter point to the Sunday.
Gaius and Marcy address the question of who actually runs things in the United States. Elected officials, like the president and Dianne Feinstein have disavowed knowledge of who the US intelligence services is spying upon. The heads of intelligene operations tell bald-faced lies to Congressional oversight committees, and not only retain their jobs, but continue to be treated by the Beltway media as authoritative sources.Who gives them their orders? Then they discuss the most pressing national security issue facing the US, the existential threat of climate change. And lessons in how not to govern from Japan Culture of Truth satirizes the Sunday Morning talk shows. Sherry Reson moderates. Apparently the walking dead didn't reach your home. That's because you were warned. Tune into this encore presentation of "The Horror of Walker Point." It was a spooky Halloween night and our host, Mark H. Newhouse, was reading a delightfully chilling story by horror writer Billy Wells, when suddenly he was interrupted by urgent news, a real horror story that was taking place at a Walker Point radio station in Maine. Intended as a tribute to Stephen King and similar to the Orson Welles’ 1939 Halloween radio program, The War of The Worlds, The Horror of Walker Point by Anthony Marino, was a production of www.AudioComicsCompany.com. It was originally broadcast on All Hallows Eve by Maine Public Radio’s Rocky Coast Radio Theater. Author's Beat is grateful for the written permission of Producers William Dufris and Lance Roger Axt, as well as their associates at the Audio Comics Company for allowing us to share this event with our ghoulish worldwide listeners. Relax and enjoy this spookily fun return to the radio days of the past with your little kiddies. We did. (Evil laugh)

Yes, indeed - It's Love. Uh, no, not me (it's lot like I'm "crazy" or anything!!! :^)
A lady's labor of songs, working in life - and what a life she's created for a traumatic survivor - Singer/Songwriter/Harvard Grad/Family Leader/Chicken-Raiser/& More, with strength extrodinair - Miss Sharen Wendy Robertson returns to TMDS to release a very special new song (right here on BIRadio) - It's Love!
Straight from the Boston studio to your Milton studio of Brain Injury Radio, Sharen offers her new song, "It's Love", which will join Landon Walker's ''Livin' On The Edge" as the formal opening and closing songs for the show. (yes, FINALLY a decision has been made). Deep with lyrics, mating TBI life with life.
So, after Sharen joins us at the top to the show and explains the meaning of the song; call in and share your story of love. Recieved or given. How has a TBI effected your Love?
Many loves are devided by a Traumatic Brain Injury, and in my opinion, only love will fix the pains. I love my daughters, my dad, my home town - even 'loved' different woman; or so I said. Did I love; or just love the moment? Many thoughts run from love. Run the love thru tonight - define the joy or pain. Define having a TBI and missing what was once "true love" but may never be again. Or is it, and will it?
(424 243-9540) call with opinions, thoughts, desires or confusion of all type of love. And certianly remember as we try to stay focused - I love you folks...
We'll work on our Social Skills, and flip thru the Coping Skills "Bible" and see what lands.
