Have you showered yet? There's a good chance that, following that Pay-Per-View card last weekend, you might have a thin film of filth all over you. Floyd Mayweather is probably still the best fighter on the planet, but his ego was deflated some after a prolonged tussle with Marcos Maidana in their rematch. That was interesting to some, but not much more on the paid card was, unfortunately. This week on TQBR Radio, Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules welcomes Alex McClintock, deputy editor for ABC Radio National and Queensberry Rules. Not much is on tap for the next week or so, but Orlando Salido, George Groves and a few others may pop up in conversation. Thanks for tuning in!
We're boxing fans, which means we're more or less combat-ready, prepared for some really funky stuff. If nothing else, this rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana has a much, much better tagline than their first bout, which was called "The Moment." This one is "Mayhem." They stuck with the M theme, presumably because you have, "Mayweather," "Marcos" and "Maidana," and someone just got that ear worm. This week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor preview Mayweather-Maidana II and its undercard, but also last weekend's nice flyweight action, Carl Frampton vs Kiko Martinez II, and the Showtime card featuring Adrien Broner, Lucas Matthysse and Andre Berto. Thanks for tuning in!

This time Floyd's test is the hardnose hard punching relentless come forward Argentine Boxer El Chino Maidana, my Donna has history for upsetting the a side my Donna has history for knocking out the good fighters may Donna has already beaten the Floyd Mayweather clone in Adrien Broner. And Chino's eyes are set on the pound for pound king and beating and becoming number one in the sport of boxing. Call in give your picks for this weekends fights, 646478306
The Lotto numbers have been drawn; the bingo balls have dropped; the sweepstakes have been won. TRANSLATION: Floyd Mayweather has picked his opponent, and it's Marcos Maidana. Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor hops onto the show for a bit to discuss what it means for the sport, what the match up may potentially be like, and more.
On tonight's episode we will discuss none other then what ended up being Mr Money Mayweather's most competitive fight in a long time. Marcos Maidana became the peoples champ even in defeat. Both camps feel they won the fight. So today's show we will let you call it, yeah you the voice of the people.
The intoxication we always seem to feel in the wake of bigger fights and events takes a bit to wear off. We're still worried about the Justin Biebers and Lil Johns and DMXs and excessive holdings and attempted scrotum assaults and so forth. How can we actually take a far enough step back to assess the fight with a semi-clear head? Have we even stopped drinking since the fight began??? This week on Queensberry Rules Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry-Rules' Patrick Connor recap #TheMoment, AKA that elephant-in-the-room on your cable bill that somebody couldn't bother to come up with an actually creative name or catchphrase for. Floyd Mayweather's struggle with Marcos Maidana, Amir Khan's clutch purse of a win over Luis Collazo, Adrien Broner's whatever-that-was against Carlos Molina and J'Leon Love's win over Marco Antonio Periban. All of it. Bermane Stiverne vs Chris Arreola previewing will probably be in there too. Returning to the show is assistant boxing coach for UC Davis, Joel Stern. Thanks for tuning in!

What do you do when you're the best fighter in the world, people tune in to pay cable shows to watch you count your money, you're undefeated, you work hard, you're dedicated and you're all about raising the roof, Benjamins, letting the dogs out and all of that cool stuff? You fight the guy who kicked the crap out of your "little brother," of course. Floyd Mayweather vs Marcos Maidana has been both celebrated and bemoaned - usually celebrated because it's the biggest event of the year thus far, and usually bemoaned because, on paper, it appears to be a typical Mayweather mismatch, and the undercard sucks. It could actually wind up being more like this last weekend's Showtime card featuring Keith Thurman vs Julio Diaz, Lucas Matthysse vs John Molina and Omar Figueroa vs Jerry Belmontes, and surprise the hell out of us. It's unlikely, but that's why we watch this stuff. Joining Patrick Connor of Queensberry-Rules this week (James Foley of Bad Left Hook is taking a small vacation, but he'll be back!) is Tim Starks, editor/founder of TQBR, and Matthew Swain, also of TQBR. Thanks for tuning in!
The hits just keep coming. James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Patrick Connor of Queensberry Rules are back to preview a big weekend of boxing, featuring Marcos Maidana vs Josesito Lopez, Chad Dawson vs Adonis Stevenson, Erislandy Lara vs Alfredo Angulo, Marco Huck vs Ola Afolabi II, and more. Thanks for tuning in!
Yes, that really happened on Saturday night. Marcos Maidana beat the billions out of Adrien Broner. And the lampooning that's resulted has been epic. There was other stuff that happened on the card, and most of it was at least decent, if not good. It just wasn't as huge as the main event. This week on Queensberry Rules Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry-Rules' Patrick Connor go with their patented no-huddle podcast approach to analyzing boxing. Joining these ridiculous rascals is TQBR contributor and Twitter extraordinaire Matt Swain. Also served up: the 2013 End of the Year Awards -- then TQBR Radio goes dark for a few weeks. Thanks for tuning in!
If this last weekend was the climax of the 2013 year in boxing, then this coming weekend is one hell of a refractory period. It may feel as though we're on the bad side of a weekend letdown, but what it lacked in quality (in some ways), it made up for in unrelenting quantity. This week on Queensberry Rules Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and Queensberry-Rules' Patrick Connor review Paul Malignaggi's win over Zab Judah, Guillermo Rigondeaux's domination of Joseph Agbeko, the Shawn Porter vs. Devon Alexander Clinchapalooza, the James Kirkland vs. Glen Tapia in-ring outburst, Felix Sturm's surprise stop of Darren Barker, and more. Also on the holiday platter is a preview of Adrien Broner vs. Marcos Maidana, which will include Jesus Soto Karass vs. Keith Thurman. There's no let up this week, fans. Thanks for tuning in!
