When the stars looked like they were going to align, and the Buffalo Bills were going to the playoffs for the first time in over a decade, they fall to the 2-12 Oakland Raiders 26-24, and the streak that began in 1999 continues. The Bills (8-7) are out of the playoffs, so what should they do in their final game of the 2014 season? Should EJ Manuel get the start? Will we see Nathaniel Hackett "open up" the playbook for him if he does get the start? All those questions and many more will be answered on a brand new life episode of Hashtag Sports, your social media sports talk station.
Adonis Stevenson (25-1, KOs 21) fought a very measured fight in the early stages of the fight, but managed to score a devastating knockout victory against Dmitry Sukhotsky (22-3, KOs 16).
Stevenson being a natural counterpuncher, waited for opportunities for Sukhotsky to open up, but since Sukhotsky remained very conservative, the pace of the bout was very leisurely in the early rounds. Despite the slow pace of the fight, Stevenson managed to score a knockdown in the 2nd round with a solid left hand in in the closing seconds of the round. In a special Saturday edition of Showtime Boxing on ShoExtreme, Jesus Cuellar took on Ruben Tamayo in the main event of a quadruple header made up of mostly Al Haymon fighters, live from the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, Washington.
The Argentine Cuellar, coming off his destruction win over Juan Manuel Lopez, entered the fight looking to make a third successful defense of his interim WBA featherweight title against Tamayo, who came into the fight with two wins in 2014.
The slugger Cuellar started the fight with an intense pace and pushed the action. Tamayo, the boxer in the fight, tried countering from the start but had trouble keeping Cuellar from closing the distance and remaining in his range. Happy holidays to everyone out there and boxing is giving its gift this weekend with a pair of events televised on HBO and Showtime that will surely have boxing fans happy for the upcoming holidays. For this article I’ll be going over the Golden Boy Card that involves such names as Keith Thurman, Abner Mares, Victor Ortiz, and both Charlo brothers that will be headlined by Amir “King” Khan squaring off against Devon Alexander “The Great.”
Amir Khan (29-3 with 19 KOs) is a fast-handed boxer who is born and very well followed in the UK. He has fought and defeated fighters such as Marco Antonio Barea, Paulie Malignaggi, Chino Maidana, and Zab Judah. However, everything hasn’t been prefect for Khan, sustaining losses from Lamont Peterson, Danny Garcia, and of course his 1st career loss, a 1st round KO to Breidis Prescott in the UK 6 years ago.
Devon Alexander (26-2 with 14 KOs) also has a pretty darn good resume. He’s defeated fighters such as Junior Witter, Juan Urango, Randall Bailey, a controversial win against Lucas Matthysee, and he also holds wins over Andriy Kotelnik and Chino Maidana. His losses have come to the likes of Timothy Bradley and Shawn Porter. He’s more of a technical fighter with not much power, but he also is a southpaw, which could complicate the rhythm of this fight.
Timothy Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) is one of the most determined fighters in the sport of boxing. He has shown the ability to go toe to toe with the very dangerous Ruslan Provodkinov, and outbox the very crafty Juan Manuel Marquez. Coming off a loss against Manny Pacquiao he wants to rebound with a victory against the very underrated and dangerous Diego Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs).
Chaves is a typical power punching aggressive fighter from Argentina with good boxing skills. Both fighters are looking to make a statement this Saturday night in the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
We have a very special guest this morning "in the Pickle Barrel".
Robert Mazur was a federal customs and excise agent who lived the high life of Colombia's most powerful cartels while using his undercover alias Bob Musella. One of his prioritized missions was to record the abundant amount of damning evidence that would culminate into a major takedown at a staged wedding. His target under Operation C-Chase was bankers who manipulated complex international finance systems in order to launder money for drug lords like Pablo Escobar, and ultimately proved critical in the conviction of General Manuel Noriega.
Do I have some guestions for this man? What do you think? Why and how these Cartels continue to operate freely? How do these cartel's pose a threat to our national security? Have you always had a death wish? and many more.
Jump 'In the Pickle Barrel this morning and join the discussions on the world of global banking and how these banks contribute to the world of terrorism.
Hope to see you at 8AM-10AM EST

Daily Dose of Weird News
So much going on in the world, and so much three card monte being played on us that it's hard to tell what we are fighting for and who we are fighting against. One thing is certain, on the issue of racially motivated police violence, the people have spoken. They are mad as hell, and they're not going to take it anymore.
Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, James Boyd, Oscar Grant, Manuel Diaz the list goes on, and the list must end.
Meanwhile, the same week that SF holds a memorial for homeless people who died during the year, San Jose police returned, once again, to permamently clear the country's largest homeless encampment, 'The Jungle'. Those evicted were told they'd be aided into housing. So far, less than a third have been given assistance or an alternative to being back on the city streets. What will become of them?
And a moment of silence for Bill Cosby's career and the women he helped get to the top... of his penis.
