Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya said that he will meet with Top Rank CEO Bob Arum “next weekend, face to face, in Los Angeles” in order “to talk about ending the Cold War between Golden Boy and Top Rank.” “We’re going to talk about ending the Cold War between Golden Boy and Top Rank. My objective is to make the big fights,” said De La Hoya. “Golden Boy has fighters that can fight Top Rank fighters and who can make great fights. We want to make great, exciting fights that the people want to see, and that’s what I want to talk to Bob about.”
“You could have Danny Garcia versus Manny Pacquiao. What a fight that would be. That’s what I want to talk to Bob about. Danny Garcia versus Manny Pacquiao? Come on,” said De La Hoya.
“You would have the young, strong bull versus the not-so-young strong bull in Manny. Those are the types of fights and matches that I want to talk to Bob and see what we can come up with.”

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective.
Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting.
But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree!
If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!
Dallas Cowboys vs Dez Bryant, NBA, Mayweather vs Manny
Now that Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao has been announced, what exactly will be the subject we fall back on to whine about every week? We'll find something. In the meantime, they did indeed sign to fight. So this week on TQBR Radio, James Foley of Bad Left Hook and The Queensberry Rules' Patrick Connor will talk about the #MayweatherPacquiao fight with an actual serious tone. Also important, Gennady Golovkin wrecked Martin Murray last weekend in Monte Carlo, so expect some hyperbole and more about that. Thanks for tuning in!
We have a guest this week – Raimundo Ortiz of Sports World News & his blog Sports-Deli.com. Ray and the guys will discuss the fight of the century between Manny Paquiao versus Floyd Mayweather, which is officially on after a protracted negotiation. Before they get into it about Money-versus-Pacman, the guys will talk about Gennady Golovkin, who had yet another impressing outing against Martin Murray and has called out Miguel Cotto. The fellas will also talking about another polarizing figure – Ronda Rousey – who will defend her bantamweight title against Cat Zingano at UFC 184. Can Zingano defeat Rousey and should she move up in weight to Cris Cyborg, who also fights this weekend? We also touch on Derrick Rose's latest injury and whether the Chicago Bulls can go far in the playoffs.
