Man Down!! Is This You?
We will be talking about from being Beat Down, Toire Down, Talked Down and Staying Down.. It is time to get up!!
Whenever two people meet there are really six people present. There is each man as he sees himself, each man as the other sees him, and each man as he really is. Why is it that, in spite of all the mirrors in the world, no one really knows what he looks like? Man is nothing but dust, and he is always throwing it in someone's eyes.
in The Bible
A Grave is discovered empty the morning after the burial of a national figure. Government and local officials do not have a clue as to what has happened. Local witnesses at the scene have reported that the person who was buried has been identified in the area.
As outrageous as the report seems, over 500 people have seen and testified on record that they have seen this man who was previously confirmed dead. Others have reported walking down the road only to have Him suddenly appear with them, have an incredible conversation as they walked, and then only to have Him disappear again!
If you have any knowledge of a sighting of this man or you have questions about the sighting, please report your first name and comments to our comment line at 1-866-275-4472, select option 1.

DEPRESSION (Apathy, Boredom, Sadness)
What are some common causes of depression?
What are some Biblical cures for common depression?
Depression sometimes follows great success. Elijah experienced the depths of fatigue and discouragement just after his two great spiritual victories: the defeat of the prophets of Baal and the answered prayer for rain. Often discouragement sets in after great spiritual experiences, especially those requiring physical effort or involving great emotion. To lead him out of depression, God first let Elijah rest and eat. Then God confronted him with the need to return to his mission—to speak God’s words in Israel. Elijah’s battles were not over; there was still work for him to do. When you feel let down after a great spiritual experience, remember that God’s purpose for your life is not yet over.
EXCUSES (Allowing, Avoiding, Explaining)
What’s wrong with making excuses?
BIBLE READING: Exodus 3:1-18
KEY BIBLE VERSE: “But I’m not the person for a job like that!” Moses exclaimed. (Exodus 3:11, tlb)
Sometimes we make excuses to avoid serving God. Moses made excuses because he felt inadequate for the job God asked him to do. It was natural for him to feel that way. He was inadequate all by himself. But God wasn’t asking Moses to work alone. He offered other resources to help (God himself, Aaron, and the ability to do miracles). God often calls us to tasks that seem too difficult, but he doesn’t ask us to do them alone. God offers us his resources, just as he did to Moses. We should not hide behind our inadequacies, as Moses did, but look beyond ourselves to the great resources available. Then we can allow God to use our unique contributions.
STRESS (Difficulty, Strain, Worry)
What Biblical principles deal directly with stress?
BIBLE READING: Exodus 16:1-12
Stress may be an indication that our relationship with God is lacking. It happened again. As the Israelites encountered danger, shortages, and inconvenience, they complained bitterly and longed to be back in Egypt. But as always, God provided for their needs. Difficult circumstances often lead to stress, and complaining is a natural response. The Israelites didn’t really want to be back in Egypt; they just wanted life to get a little easier. In the pressure of the moment, they could not focus on the cause of their stress (in this case, lack of trust in God); they could only think about the quickest way of escape. When pressure comes your way, resist the temptation to make a quick escape. Instead, focus on God’s power and wisdom to help you deal with the cause of your stress.

October 16, 2014 marks the 19th Anniversary of the "Million Man March." This call to action was lead by the honorable "Minister Louis Farrakahn" of the Nation of Islam supported by other groups and organizations such as the National Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the Reverend Jesse Jackson, and the National African American Leadership Summit just to name a few.
October 16, 1995 was a defining moment for black men all across this country in an effort to deal with the plagues of social injustice in this country. This call to action was to show a united front, and to charge black men to go back home and be responsible for their families and communities.
Join us tonight as we take a look back at this historical occasion. What have we learned from it? Have we prospered since then, if not, "why?" Where do we go from here?
