Daisy Mallory is a song lover, an only child, and originally from Cave Creek, Arizona. Music has been her passion for as long as she can remember. Writing is in her blood and singing is in her bones. When she picked up the guitar at age 9, her love for music and writing collided. After 4 months of learning cover songs, she began to write my own.
She's done some cool things in her time! From singing with Reba and Kris Kristofferson to Muhammad Ali himself to opening for Brad Paisley, Lee Ann Womack, and Lee Brice. She's taken part in photo and video shoots with artists such as The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts, Josh Turner, Brantley Gilbert, Randy Houser, and Billy Currington. She was endorsed by McPherson Guitars in July of 2011. She's truly living and breathing music and couldn’t be more thankful to be doing what I love each day!
Be on the lookout for the brand new EP, "This Side of Town" available on iTunes.

This week's show happens to coincide with the 2014 edition of Canadian Music Week, which is set to take over Toronto with some performances by massive acts like City & Colour, M.I.A., Tegan and Sara, and a whole lot more.
Our first guest, taking the floor for CM Academy, is Luther Mallory of BandLimbo.com. A musician, artist manager, label owner, and a whole lot of other things, Luther launched Band Limbo just a few weeks ago to offer practical, real-world advice for independent artists to help them navigate the ever-changing industry. His latest post is actually a short little rant for bands looking to make an impact at CMW 2014.
Our feature artist interview this week comes from a CMW showcase artist, Sony Music Canada's Current Swell. The Victoria, BC-born indie rock outfit JUST dropped their fifth studio album, Ulysses, on May 6th, and it's already made an impressive impact. Mike speaks with the band about the project and where they're headed for 2014.
Cheers to a successful Canadian Music Week; we'll be back in coming weeks with plenty of content from the Canadian music industry's Mecca.

Salme Dahlstrom, the Acid Cowgirl Licensing Queen returns with her electro pop dance music with a little supernatural touch for our Halloween show.. She is a one-woman dynamo with mass appeal in radio ready songs like "Superstar Car Crash" and tracks like "C'Mon Y'All" that are good sound and good fun. With songs on the Billboard Dance Chart and the Global Dance TraxTop 100, she never stops. And she brings us her newest album Pop Propagana 2. PP2 is full of hot summer music to keep your Halloween warm and maybe scare you a little with the high energy that only Salme can deliver.
Mallory Tunnel premieres her debut EP, Words on Music Friday this Halloween. She will release the unique piano infused electro pop album in two weeks and we have teh first first preview. Mallory is a natural born songwriter who did some profitable time in Nashville and now connects to her audience with punchy melodies and feel good declarations that aren’t quite so feel good on closer listening. She creates a sound that expertly mixes the two distinctly different aesthetics: delicious mainstream pop and introspective and sometimes really tough lyrics. This angelic looking songstress with a demonic side is scary fun and we get to talk with her on Halloween.
Mallory Hytes Hagan was crowned Miss America on January 12, 2013. She represented the State of New York during the 2013 Miss America pageant where she won both the swimsuit and evening gown portions of the competition. For her talent, she performed a tap number to James Brown's "Get Up Offa That Thing". In addition to the $50,000 college scholarship as part of the Miss America award package, Mallory joined an elite sorority of women to hold the title of Miss America dating back to 1921. Mallory's platform, Child Sexual Abuse Prevention, is predicated on abuse suffered by members on her own family and is, therefore, very close to her heart. Within 24 hours of her reign as Miss America, she was in communication with U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan promoting awareness of child sexual abuse. Mallory's major initiative as Miss America was to become a spokesperson for the Chidren's Miracle Network where she travelled approximately 20,000 miles per month in its support. Mallory's future plans consist of becoming a global marketing director for a comestics company after earning her degree in cometics and fragrance marketing.
