Dream Citadel Evolution Show- Artist Spotlight (Chaquis Maliq)

    in Entertainment

Singer, songwriter, and producer are just some of the labels to describe recording artist Chaquis Maliq. Representing the new breed of female artists taking ownership of their musical paths by leading the engineering, songwriting and production of their musical creations, Chaquis Maliq is redefining the playing field as a multi-talented creator. Gifted with incredible vocal ability that has been compared to soul legends like Stephanie Mills and Chaka Kahn, Chaquis Maliq has emerged as a forerunner on the indie music scene.
Born and raised in California, Chaquis began building a buzz around her music when she relocated to Baltimore, MD in the mid-2000’s and began working with east coast artists as a songwriter and singer. She first appeared on the single “Crazy” by rapper Jamma Wun and later sung on and co-wrote with him the song “Struggles” which later appeared on the 2009 album Oddly Romantic (available on iTunes and Amazon.com).
While continuing to collaborate with Jamma Wun and numerous hip-hop and soul artists across the United States on projects as a vocalist and producer, Chaquis eventually produced her own CD The Demonstration Vol. I. This new project was the first product of her own independent label, QuiSound Entertainment she founded in 2006.
Always inspired by the composing, production and writing skills of musical legends Prince, Aretha Franklin and Earth, Wind & Fire, Chaquis also went into producing her first CD project influenced greatly by new soul artists Missy Elliot, Andre 3000, Lauryn Hill, and, Lupe Fiasco. Their out-of-the-box artistry and very visible commitment to excellence in their craft motivated her to create a top-notch product.
“I've been promoting, booking, producing, managing, critiquing, and engineering myself and my craft from day one for about three years,” Chaquis shares. “Music speaks to me by default. Songs come from a place that I can't see, smell, or touch.

    In The Studio: Chaquis Maliq

    in Indie Music

Born in the Liberal City Of San Francisco, Chaquis Maliq has been exposed to many genres of music. Inspired by rhythm and blues, funk, soul, alternative, jazz, rock, Latin, Gospel and of course hip-hop. Introduced to her first piano at the age of two, Chaquis sang every song she new off key and banged on the piano as loud as she could. Soon she was making up songs and recording on her boom box. But it wasn’t until she was exposed to poetry, that she found out her exquisite her writing skills were. Most of her peers suggested that she should become a rapper, but she didn’t have it in her heart. Chaquis really wanted to sing and make her own music, but no one ever nourished it, not even her church. All Maliq knew, was to try and sing like the performer who is singing the song. Chaquis Maliq finally came into her own when she relocated to the East Coast. Being that Chaquis mimicked other singers vocals, Maliq’s voice is now in control and versatile. This self-managed remarkable talent is now pursing her polished talented independent melting pot of music, by producing, writing, and engineering all of her work.

Obama's Muslim Love Affair or Why Does He Deny the Last Three Attacks on America are Mulim Terrorist

    in Politics Conservative

An innocent Army Recruiter was shot and killed by an admitted Muslim Terrorist last summer in the south. Obama claimed it was the work of a lone extremist. Fort Hood was attacked by Nidal Maliq Hasan, also an admitted Muslim Terrorist. Obama called the attack the action of a lone extremist. The crotch bomber attempted to bring down a plain over Detroit on Christmas day. Not only did Obama fail to call the attack what it is, he made certain the suspect was treated as a citizen and held in civilian court and lawyered up. IN my heart, I believe it is because the powers in Washington wanted to shut him up.

“If the winds turn against the Muslims, I WILL SIDE WITH THE MUSLIMS.”

With the immediate over whelming problems in
“A terrorist is a terrorist. By any other named is still a terrorist.”
