Pluto in Capricorn: Transiting THIRD Four Houses- How it Affects You Spiritually

    in Spirituality

Astrology as a Spiritual Push is the Hand of Creator urging you to specifically lay your axe of personal growth upon that which is especiallly pertinent to your awaking, relizations and ownership in consciousness.

Your Spirit is urging behavor, attitude, and other  needed changes, shifts in acceptance, expansions of understanding and a deeping involvement for consciousness growth that matters and is timely for you.

Wherever Pluto is transiting in your chart, you will most likely be facing notable challgenges in that arena. Pluto points towards transformational growth in your consciousness that you are primed and prepared to meet and deal with effectively.

However, this holds TRUE only if you are not resisting what comes your way. Understanding the nature of what is being asked of you is very helpful in maximizing your ability to learn and accept the growth, rather than being in conflict and resisting it.

Pluto has a subtle nature and its influence may not be completely obvious until much time has past and hindsight is surfacing. With a bit of a headsup awareness about such matters, you can improve your ability to be responsive and make possibly wiser choices as they confront you. Correct understanding is never a hinderance!

Due to technical difficulties last week, we will include the 7th and 8th houses along with 9 through 12 houses and extend our show to the 45 minute limit, if we are offered that option. continue recording after we are no longer airing live, it will be available on the archive recordings.  If that option fails, we will re air another day and let you know that date.

WE apologize for any inconvenieces that may have caused you.  Rising to Transcend the challenges is what Pluto in Capricorn is all about!  :)

Join us, Will Gable and Sharon Quinn.

    SILK - EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW - THURS, AUG 27, 2015 - 6:00 pm PST

    in Radio

Silk is a highly celebrated, R&B quintet who has sold over 5 million records. The group still comprises the original members who debuted in 1992. These gentlemen are Timzo (Timothy Cameron), Jim (Jimmy Gates, Jr.), Big G (Gary Glenn), Lil G (Gary Jenkins) and John John (Johnathen Rasboro). Popular for baby-making ballads and New Jack Swing favorites, Silk is best known for their 1993 pop hit, “Freak Me.” Other hits include “If You”, “Meeting In My Bedroom”, “Girl U For Me”, “Lose Control”, “Hooked On You” and “Don’t Rush”. The group was discovered by Keith Sweat over 20 years ago yet they continue to enjoy longevity in the industry with six studio albums. Currently, Silk is delicately placing the finishing touches on their seventh studio LP while touring the world.
The group began its embryonic stage in the mid 80’s. Timzo, Jim and John John formed the singing group as the teenagers harmonized while working at McDonald’s. Shortly thereafter, Big G was joined. A then-gospel group, the four would get their big break singing church songs in their manager’s basement during a cookout. Already empowered with unique diamond-smooth harmonies, Silk went in search of a fifth voice and Gary “Lil G” Jenkins was joined to the group. Keith Sweat signed the group to his Keia label and helped to create Silk’s unmistakable sound.
Sweat co-wrote and produced most of the steamy, sexually suggestive songs for their debut album, Lose Control. Selling two million copies, the album spun three US R&B Top 10 hits, including ‘Freak Me’, which stayed at #1 on the chart for eight weeks and the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. Silk would go on to release their second album with an eponymous title giving us “I Can Go Deep”, “Hooked On You” and “Don’t Rush”.

Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson: Sleep

    in Health

Good morning and welcome to Get Healthy Now with Denise Thomson, founder of Miclknight, where health and wellness are one. I am an educator, speaker, author, fitness trainer and passionate about healthy living.

    Gift: at the end

    Topic: Sleep

What exactly is sleep? What is it's definition? (Wikipedia)

How much sleep do we need to feel good the next morning?

    Rule of thumb:

    Newborns (0-3months)  14-17 hours

    Infants (4-11 months)   12 - 15 hours

    Toddlers (1-2 years)     11 - 14 hours

    Preschoolers (3-5 years)  10 - 13 hours

    School-age children (6-13 years)   9 - 11 hours

    Teenagers (14-17 years)      8 - 10 hours

    Young Adults (18-25 years) & Adults (26-64 years)   7 - 9 hours

    Older Adults (65 and over)    7 - 8 hours.

Why is sleep so important in our lives?

~60% of waste products produced during sleep, body recovers, skin restores,

Lack of sleep: slows down healing process, motor skills are slower, tremors from lack of sleep or too much caffeine....

Why does good sleep improve our health?

Where do you sleep the best, your own bed or anywhere? Why? Mattress, pillow, blanket, different bed, unfamiliar room, ...

Who decides on whether or not we sleep well?

    For children it's the parents......

    For adults..... they decide.....

Good, deep, and solid sleeps makes you feel so good that you can say upon waking up in the morning:

"Today is the best day of my life again!!!"

    Conclusion:

Answer the above questions for yourself and see where you can improve.

Jim Peterik ,The Ides Of March; The Definitive 50-Year Anniversary Collection.

    in Pop Culture

2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the band that drove the 1970 Billboard smash “Vehicle” to the top of the charts: The Ides Of March.  Last Band Standing is a perfectly executed celebration of The Ides Of March history and a showcase of a band still in their prime at 50 years deep. Original members Jim Peterik (also of Survivor fame and songwriter behind “Eye Of The Tiger,” and well as many other chart-toppers), Bob Bergland, Larry Millas, and Mike Borch started as group of teenagers whose love of Rock N Roll and R&B led them to showcases and bandstands around their native Chicago, eventually hitting it big nationally with “Vehicle.” The first four audio discs contain material from across their storied career. Included are Warner Brothers albums Vehicle  and Common Bond, first-time-ever releases of the best of their RCA releases World Woven  and Midnight Oil ,Spirit Of Chicago. Rarities like “Like It Or Lump It” and “No Two Ways About It” Billboard charter You Wouldn’t Listen . The audio portion is completed with brand new Ides of March tracks, including the brass driven “Who I Am,”Too Far To Turn Around,” and the aptly titled “Last Band Standing,” featuring Steve Cropper – the iconic songsmith of Booker T and the MG’s and organizer of the Blues Brothers. Disc five is a live DVD of The Ides Of March performing 15 of their most iconic songs in an eleven camera shoot at the House Of Blues, Chicago on May 31, 2014. This DVD boasts a slew of extras: archival footage from their TV appearances in the 70's, new interviews, a look behind-the-scenes, a photo collage spanning 50 years ,an exciting new music video for the title track “Last Band Standing.”  Showing no signs of slowing down, The Ides Of March, who continue to tour to this day, are truly worthy of the title Last Band Standing. ?

    Jade Helm and Mind Control

    in Spirituality

    And it will be increasingly
the case that you human beings will be treated like animals for the slaughter, implanted with electronic data chips
by means of which you will be completely controlled and robbed of freedom by authorities, public offices and
governments, although in your ignorance you will think that you live as free human beings although you are in fact
servants of the governments. So public authorities, official bodies and those in government will rule over you in a
wise that has never happened before, meaning that you will no longer chart the course of your own fate in the collective,
because this will be done by those who exercise total might and control over you. In this wise, every one of
you will be a servant and slave of authorities, public bodies and governments, i.e. of those mightful ones and their
vassals who possess might in this respect.

LOTL The Comfort Zone Welcomes ConFunkShun, Debuts new Album ' More Than Love '

    in Music

New Single  “I Miss You” Debuts at #30 on the Billboard UAC Chart!

Once upon a time there were many great self-contained R&B and funk groups, innovative, immensely popular artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, War, The Meters, The Commodores, Kool & The Gang, Lakeside, Slave and many others who created a body of work in the 70s and 80s that still thrills audiences today.   ConFunkShun was one of the successful bands in this wave, scoring 25 chart hits between 1976 and their break-up in 1987, including such smash hits as “Ffun,” “Chase Me,” “Electric Lady,” “Baby I’m Hooked” and others—many of which have been liberally sampled by the hip-hop generation. When the band re-united with lead vocalists/songwriters Michael Cooper and Felton Pilate, after more than two decades apart, they were welcomed back by their fans as they toured nationally to adoring crowds. Not content to ride on their past hits, they began writing and recording new material which they found got great response in concert. Their highly anticipated new CD and Shanachie debut MORE THAN LOVE (April 28, 2015) is the band’s first new studio album in more than two decades. Their new music finds ConFunkShun as irresistible as ever. Comprised of some of the most soulful, seasoned and respected musicians on the scene, ConFunkShun is: Michael Cooper (Lead vocals, guitar, keys), Felton Pilate (Lead vocals, trombone, keys), EQ/Eric Young (bass), Karl Fuller (trumpet, flugelhorn), KC/Kurt Clayton (keys, vocals), Ron Moton  (sax, vocals) and Brian Collier (drums).
