Press for Democracy (P1FD) is a Coffee Party Radio show that discusses the political issues of the day in a civil, fact-based, and transpartisan manner. Transpartisan is quite different from bi- or non-partisan in the we encourage callers to be passionate about their positions, but also that they listen and respond to those with differing points of view repsectfully and with a true desire to find common ground on which solutions can be built.
Tonight on P1FD . . .
Join special Guest Hosts Kathleen Morgan and Marianne Castiglia for a look at bias in the mainstream media.
Do American’s trust what is published in newspapers, or broadcast on TV and radio news programs?
Charges of bias in the mainstream media seem to be raging stronger than ever. Do you believe that some media outlets distort stories and then allow other stories to get more or less attention? Do you ever feel that minor or trivial stories like celebrity divorce or even lengthy murder trials are used to distract us from getting vital information that has a greater impact on ourselves and our country?
“Media bias” describes an unbalanced or unfair reporting style that is meant not to inform, but to sway public opinion. On today's Press for Democracy, let's talk about what’s being reported by today’s mainstream media, how it’s being presented, and how it is effecting conversations in neighborhood coffee shops and at work around the water cooler.
What are the effects on counter-cultures and subcultures and cult followings once they hit the mainstream? What does this mean to us and why should you care? All answered tonight on The Criticizers.

One of my great pet peeves or great sorrows, though it is to be expected, is to see what I am labelling "mainstream Christianity" and the "mainstream church" becoming more worldly. Not only are they becoming more "tolerant" of sin, they seem to go out of their way to prove to the world at large that they are. Very much man pleasers rather than God pleasers, and very much selective users and interpreters of scripture rather than teachers of, sharers of, and defenders of the Word as written, I fear they create new traditions that would make void the Word of God to many who seek understanding from it. We're at a point in which so little truth is taught, real truth that is, and when sin is willingly accepted and promoted in our schools, in our books, and in what is supposed to be the Body of Christ, then we're definitely at a point in which indeed may be a point of no return in one all too real sense. Today I'll be talking about what is now being taught in Church of England schools and what has been published and promoted by an evangelical publisher that should shock and trouble any bible believing Christian. That's at 4:30 Eastern time and archived after that.
Join me this evening as we discuss Reiki's Acceptance in Mainstream Medicine!
Reiki is pronounced (ray-key) it is an ancient Japanese practice that uses "Universal Life Energy". Discovered in the 19th century Mikao Usui discovered a way of channeling energy and created the Usui Ryoho system of Natural Healing which is better known simply as "Reiki".
Reiki is universal life force energy. It is an intelligent energy of love and wholeness. It understands the cause of problems and what healing is necessary. The Reiki energy has a wisdom of its own, healing and balancing all aspects of a person's mind, body, emotions and spirit.
It is a gentle non-invasive method of hands on-healing that does provide balance to the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental issues in our life.
Now being used in many hospitals and hospices and in private practice as a therapy in addition to other alternative modalities.
