Worldwide Plaza Public Space and Shops - College Info

    in Travel

    Hello,

Welcome to A Theory of Parenting on Blogtalkradio.com

    My name is Tammi Joyner

I am your Host for the Show

Today we are live from 825 8th ave between 49th and  West 50th Street, Two Worldwide Plaza is a post-war skyscraper.  The 39-floor building in Midtown West was completed by William Zeckendorf Jr. in 1989. Today, it is part of a three-building design that stretches an entire block between 8th and 9th Avenue from 49th to 50th Street.

The building's postmodern exterior is perhaps one of the most remarkable building features. The old-fashioned brick is modernized by a copper roof and glass pyramid at the top. At certain times of the day, the sun hits the sleek rows of windows to the point that the facade shines like metal. Terraces abound in the majority of the 455 apartments, each equipped with granite countertops in modern kitchens, marble baths, and 11-foot ceilings.

The interior garden courtyard reserved for residents is matched with the mid-block public plaza housing a diverse array of greenery as well a fountain with elaborate statues, and a nearby cafe.

The Unknown Zone: The Founding Fathers Were Not Christians!

    in Paranormal

Currently, the Republican Party in the U.S. is considering rewriting the Constitution to officially make America a Christian nation.  If this happened, this country would go back to the 1700's when a king told the citizens they HAD to worship a certain way and in one church. The people then hid and worshipped the way they wanted. To dismantle the Constitution brings us back in a time when people fled Europe to come to a new country where anyone could come here and worship any way they chose, without persecution.

Contrary to popular belief today, the founding fathers of America were in fact not Christians but Deists and Universalists.  Yes, they believed in God but they did not believe in the Bible as the word of God. nor in miracles, nor in God's influence on mankind while on Earth.

Judy Sellins and Dave Turco will set the record straight about America's early history and what the founders really believed, including Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Madison, and Franklin and later Lincoln.  The facts will astound you!

    MediaTrackers Allows Racist Comments

    in Politics Conservative

MediaTrackers has upset many on both sides because of a story written by Brian Sikma called "3 #TonyRobinson Protest Photos the Media Wont Show You".

The photos (link here) show African-American protestors holding offensive signs that say "F" the police.  More offensively however are the purely racist comments that are on the post.  Many of these comments are full of language that is offensive to many.

Many people on the right are offended because the comments come from someone that considers themselves a conservative.  Many conservatives from all races are already called racists or sellouts because they are on the conservative side.  Racially charged comments from someone on the right just add fuel to the fire that most conservatives are trying to extinguish.

Many have called on MediaTrackers to remove the comments but I say different. How do you feel about it.

The 2006 FBI warning of KKK infiltration of police depts plus B'more and news.

    in Current Events

The 2006 Warning from the FBI about the infiltration of police departments by the Klan and other racist organizations. Does it explain the rash of murders of unarmed black men? It's a perfect cover and who but a racist could kill a 11 year old kid playing with a toy gun. Also the beat goes on with a twist with black Dane County DA Ismael Ozanne declining to prosecute white Madison, Wisconsin police officer Matt Kenny in the shooting death of unarmed Tony Robinson Jr. who was shot for nothing more than acting erratically. Wisconsin state law requires police shootings are investigated by outside agencies but what should we expect from the state which really isnt an outside agency. And all the other news on The Ron Kelly Show.
