SORT BY Relevancy
Matt and Shawn took their first road trip as a management team last weekend. Well... sort of. One of the guys made it and one didn't! On this week's show they tell the tail, and also about a random trip to Atlanta. They also revisit some of the teasers from last week!
And this week's featured artist is Juston Stens. After playing drums for six years in the popular indie-rock band Dr. Dog, Stens set out on his own to front his own band, the Get Real Gang, and play his own songs. A self-taught guitar player, bassist, piano player, drummer and singer, Stens challenged himself by traveling across America on a motorcyle to connect with musician friends across the country and record songs in their personal spaces. The journey was documented in the recent film by Andrew Stubbs, I Lay Where I Fall, which premiered at the Nashville Film Festival in April. The resulting musical collaborations are available now for the first time on the album, Share the Road.
Each week, Project Highway will bring a 30-minute live update from the road, all across the country, wherever they happen to be, and this week they will once again be broadcasting from two different locations. Mike Motz is still in Florida tending to family business, and Barb is holding down Project Highway, currently in North Dakota. Discussing the recent hardships PH has encountered; recent performances At JL Beers, Bistro 1100 and an upcoming private party, are bound to keep you laughing... or at least feeling sorry for them.

Well, you asked for it. Bet you're regretting it now aren't you? Mad Mike and Bitchy Mitchy return once again for another episode of insanity and just plain ol' comedic nonsense. You have to realize something, you asked for this!!!!! So now we're the MRNN, Middle-of-the-Road News Network, BM say's it's because we swing both ways. NO NO NO, now wait a minute, NOT like that!!!! We take political correctness and shove it in your face, no matter what side of the aisle you reside on. We don't take on whiners, or complainers, tea baggers or liberals. We're just as likely to call you on the carpet for being something less than educated, regardless. So cinch up those bootstraps and climb into the saddle buccaneers, Mad Mike will try, and we emphasize try, to convey his juggernaut thoughts across the airwaves, God bless his lil' ol' pea pickin' heart. If that isn't enough to convince you, then we're sure ol' Bitchy Mitchy will light up the airwaves with some of his zany thoughts about the world in which we live. You KNOW he'll have some commentating of his own. Yes, we said commentating.
Join us Sunday evening the 27th at 7 pm. We promise you might actually live long enough to regret it!!!!
Why me? Why now? What is God doing? Suffering is a tool God uses to get our attention and to accomplish His purposes in our lives. It is designed to build our trust in the Almighty, but suffering requires the right response if it is to be successful in accomplishing God’s purposes. Suffering forces us to turn from trust in our own resources to living by faith in God’s resources.
Suffering is not in itself virtuous, nor is it a sign of holiness. It is also not a means of gaining points with God, nor of subduing the flesh. When possible, suffering is to be avoided. Christ avoided suffering unless it meant acting in disobedience to the Father’s will.
What is suffering? What are these bends in the road that God puts in the path of life that we are to carefully consider? Simply stated, suffering is anything which hurts or irritates. In the design of God, it is also something to make us think. It is a tool God uses to get our attention and to accomplish His purposes in our lives in a way that would never occur without the trial or irritation.
Tonight, Kate of Gaia hosts an Open Forum in a "no holds barred" truth at all costs round table where all are welcome, all are equal where the table belongs to one and all..We discuss the allegorical spiritual nature of this realm versus the physical literal illusions everyone is spellbound into..mwahs and love, kate
