Ron Vincent grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and has graduate degrees from Texas A & M and the University of Notre Dame. He has taught high school students in California's Central Valley for almost thirty years.
His comic novel, Mother's Day, reflects the cadences, humor, and eccentricities he remembers growing up in Okaloosa County, Florida.
Phil Oglesby hasn’t spoken to his mother in years. And she doesn’t seem to care until he surprises her with a Mother’s Day visit that becomes the biggest mistake he’s ever made. Williemaye, Phil’s mom, is not a Norman Rockwell mom. For many people the Sunday set aside to celebrate motherhood is often regarded as a celebration of the deepest ties, the warmest memories, and the best emotions. Phil’s Mother’s Day is like being invited to a birthday party where the guests decide to hang you. Sometimes in life, it is often a much better idea to stay at home.
I speak with women nearly every day that have been married or in a committed relationship for years and still feel alone.
How is it that we can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely?
How is it that we can have what looks like the picture-perfect life and feel dead inside?
How is it that we can have a partner by our sides that loves us but we feel completely alone?
During this call, we will explore how this happens and what to do about it. If you've got something to contribute, I want to hear from you: http://www.sharonpopetruth.com/tell-the-truth/
Tell me about your experience. If you need some advice, I'm listening.
Born into Atlanta's First Family of Gospel, Latrice was destined to venture into the ministry of music. Having nine siblings to precede her, all artist in the Gospel Industry, she felt it was necessary to create a path of her own. Latrice discovered her passion for acting and began to travel with various theatrical productions.
"I was born into the business; and to be honest, I wanted nothing to do with music. I felt everybody in the family was already doing it so I needed to do something different. However, my daddy made sure I knew that Gospel music was a family ministry and there was no such thing as “doing something different”. Once I graduated from high school I began to sing in the group with my sisters. Shortly thereafter I began to travel with my oldest sister, Shun, as her assistant/road manager. I believe serving her for years opened so many other doors to work with various artist as well as the arts.
I’ve been in the music industry for 20 years and in the arts (Urban Theater) for about 15 years. I learned early on that I was my own walking/traveling business. So with my experience along with the influence of my mentor Donald Lawrence, I’m learning that it’s not just about having a professional image before people, but it’s important that every aspect of you, your life, your business – be legitimate and professional. I also have future aspirations to mount my own theatrical production, but during this chapter of my life, L. Pace Entertainment, LLC is about being smart in this business of music. I don’t want to do what I do out of necessity, but simply because I love to do it.

This is going to be a great show and I'm very excited about it. As we begin 2015, many of us are being guided to release the old and make way for the new. We may be feeling the push to eliminate clutter, complete unfinished tasks, and fix anything that needs to be fixed. This is not coincidental. We are at a crucial point in our evolution and if we really truly want a new vibration, a new planet, a new way of being - we have to learn to let go. This is true both globally and personally. However, for some of us this can be overwhelming. I want to share with you some ways to eliminate the clutter and garbage from your life. We'll also talk about detoxing your body in healthy ways, and how to clear your space and home using the Angels. There will be a guided meditation at the end of the show for all of us to let go and go with the flow. For this year to truly be successful we need to go with the flow and letting GO can be an amazing way to do that. I also invite you to call in with any suggestions and advice you might have for anyone that might be trying to let go. What worked for you? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
