This generation is lacking critical thinkers. (1) Their still supplying the Iraqi army that is steady loosing ground and weaponry to ISIS/Dash. (2) The military complex is steady making a whole lot of money supplying weapons that is steady falling into the hand of ISIS/Dash. (3) their not telling the people that this is really the old Iraqi Republican Guard that is behind the fighting. (4) Who's in bed with who. Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.
Doctor and author M. Maitland DeLand joins me this week to talk about her book: Nashville Mercy and more.
Already an Oncologist and award winning children's author, Nashville Mercy is the debut novel in Maitland DeLand's Kate Katelinson series. When a promising country music singer on the verge of stardom mysteriously dies after undergoing a routine medical procedure, Kate Katelinson, an investigative reporter for the Nashville Herald, becomes personally tied to the case. After sources connected to the reporter’s investigation start dying, Kate finds herself thrust into a twisted labyrinth of betrayal, corruption, and murder. Armed with only her investigative instincts and an unlikely alliance of friends, the reporter enters a terrifying game of cat-and-mouse with a mastermind more powerful than she could have ever anticipated.
To complicate matters, Kate finds herself torn between her brilliant ex fiancé, and a charismatic hospital executive who both may be after more than her heart.
In her debut novel, Dr. M. Maitland DeLand takes readers through a rollercoaster ride of suspense while touching upon some of the most pressing social and healthcare issues of the 21st century.

State Dependant Learning or… why do I still have the same problems?
Today on Health Mind & Body radio… State Dependant Learning or… why do I still have the same problems over and over?
Everyone has a one or even, several THINGS, PROBLEMS, SITUATIONS that repeat over and over. The same argument, spouse or significant other, with the kids or family, and that “something” that happens just before it seems you were going to climb out of the financial hole… So what’s causing this? It’s caused by “state dependant learning”.
So what is STATE DEPENDANT LEARNING?
What does this mean? It means that humans learn randomly. The learnings, education and information we retain is based on the current emotional state and it’s intensity, that we were in, during the learning. And the ability to retrieve that learning is dependant on re-accessing that emotional state often enough that we can generalize that learning into long-term memory so it will be available during time that we AREN’T in that emotional state
If you were a happy person when you were a when you grew up then, when you’re in a happy mood you can remember all those happy times and things. And when you’re in a rotten mood you can remember all the “rotten times” in your life.
Which isn’t really a problem, UNLESS you have some information or resources in your head THAT YOU NEED. It’s one of the reasons many people, that show up in my office, can’t remember parts or most of their childhood. Let’s talk about this today and how you can begin to access those memories and information in whatever state that you may in…

Two words: Peyton Manning. Two more words: HELP HIM! Last year, the Denver Broncos were in the top 5 in the NFL in shotgun formation plays. If you ask Rocket, something needs to be done about that. For starters, this team perhaps...maybe...can actually, you know, run the football. That would be a big bonus to an aging quarterback. Two years ago, this team was in the Super Bowl. A Year later, they were one & done in the postseason. Out is John Fox & in is Gary Kubiak, a former Broncos assistant now head coach. He has a good offense to work from. This offense will still be good...well, the passing game anyway. The running backs have to stay healthy & effective for this team to win another Super Bowl. For Manning, I'm certain one ring isn't enough. I also know that being eliminated in the playoffs last yeat by his former team has to be mind-numbing as well. Many coaching chages took place this offseason with just this team alone. I'm anxious to see what this offensive line will look like. They traded Manny Ramirez to Detroit during the draft & now Ryan Clady is out for the year with a torn ACL. Will Peyton Manning have good enough protection? & how much does he have left to give? Tune in Tuesday morning June 2nd @ 9:30am in another installment of The Rocket Sports Breakdown in Rocket's 32 For 32 team coverage. Rocket Nation, hop on a horse & get ready for a power trip.
Today, Dr. Danon Carter and I will be talking about how hate is learned. We aren’t born with a disdain for other people. Where, when and how do we learn to hate people from other races, religions and creeds? How aware are you of the roots of your feelings toward other people? Join us to hear more.
