How to Surmount the Tough Times and Pain in Life To Find the Awaiting Joy

    in Self Help

As an infant, Lynne Cockrum-Murphy survived the tragic house fire that claimed her father and two sisters with severe burns over much of her body. She lived most of her life with a severely depressed and alcoholic mother, and saw her mom contemplate suicide with a razor blade in hand. She endured sexual abuse by a trusted male relative, along with a gang rape in a darkened station wagon. She lived through her stepfather being crushed to death in a logging accident and her mother being murdered in a bar-room robbery.

If--after all she has been through--Lynne Cockrum-Murphey is radiantly happy and living a life of pure service to the world, don't you think she can teach you a thing or two?

Indeed she can! Living Hope: Steps to Leaving Suffering Behind is Cockrum-Murphy's empowering new book, an Amazon #1 best seller, taking people from hopelessness to hope. This is the woman you want at your side when you are in such deep pain and chronic misery that you don't see the way out. And you can't understand why bad things keep happening to you or to other "good" people you love.

With a transcendent spirit that knew there must be something better ahead, she kept searching for answers and with much time, trial and error, wise teachers, communal support, deep research and reading, and personal introspection, she ultimately triumphed over her pain and suffering, finding the steps to a joyful, deeply fulfilling life that includes a loving partner and a calling to help others. It's those steps she interweaves in her book as she tells her own remarkable story that takes her from surviving to thriving.

Night-Light presents Dr Lynne Kitei author of The Phoenix Lights

    in Spirituality

    Lynne D  Kitei MD

On March 13, 1997 something extra-ordinary happened in the skies over Phoenix and across Arizona. On that clear evening a parade of low flying, mile wide V-shaped formations of orbs and craft glided silently overhead, attracting the attention of at least 10,000 people. This is the detailed account of that evening and the ensuing cover up of what is now being hailed as the largest mass sighting of UFOs in modern times but there is much more to the story.

By following the journey of a respected medical professional, who moved from skepticism to belief while meticulously investigating the topic for 19 years since the event, the reader takes a wide-ranging tour of UFO history, from primitive cave paintings to 21st century reports. Extensive image analysis combined with the testimony of a variety of well-known figures, including past presidents and astronauts, such as Dr. Edgar Mitchell, make a compelling case that these anomalous phenomena have been visiting us for millennia.

This revised and expanded version of the bestselling 2004 edition shares the latest UFO developments and sightings, in addition to a convincing connection between all Unexplained Phenomena -- what the author calls UPs. There is also recent testimony from eyewitnesses, a 911 Phoenix police operator, as well as commercial and military pilots.

Dr. Lynne Kitei is an internationally acclaimed physician and health educator who pushed aside her successful medical career to pursue The Phoenix Lights book and internationally award-winning Documentary project.

Magical Experiments: Pop Culture Magic Panel on Role Playing Games and Magic

    in Spirituality

Join Taylor Ellwood of Magical Experiments and Azucena Alev, John Karaisik, and Dr. Sarah Bowman as they discuss role playing games and magic. We'll explore if RPG's can be a gateway to pop culture magic and what rpg's can teach us about magic and what magic can teach us about RPG's. We'll also discuss how to adapt RPG's to pop culture magic.

Sarah Lynne Bowman, Ph.D., is a role-play studies scholar, participant-observation ethnographer, and game designer. She teaches as an adjunct professor for several institutions in English, Communication, and Humanities.

John's journey began when he gained interest in Chinese martial arts. His studies led him to Daoism - one of the most profound spiritual systems in existence. Daoism opened John up to the esoteric world, and he's never turned back since. He now practices a variety of rich spiritual systems, including Gnosticism, which he studies under a Gnostic bishop.

Azucena Alev was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where she currently lives and works. After picking up the occult practices at a young age, she began reading the Tarot and then expanded to other methods of divination. Her knowledge of the divinatory arts, along with her collection of decks, has grown ever since.  In an effort to share her knowledge with others, she co-founded the Austin Spirituality Group, a free study group in the heart of Texas.
