The Author Chat Show with Lynda D. Brown

    in Books

Meet author Ron Boehm. Ron will be my guest on the show to discuss his new book, The Boys on Cherry Street: From the Crazy Innocence of College to the Loss of Innocenc in Vietnam.

    About the book:

The Boys on Cherry Street is a collection of stories both humorous and heroic. The stories start with the zany and outrageous antics of the author and his college friends and continues through his U.S. Marine Corps training, flight school and service in Vietnam. There are many great books written about the Vietnam War—its heroes, their courage and sacrifice. However, this book is different in that it also shows the keen sense of humor that some men showed in some of the most stressful situations imaginable. It was this sense of humor that Boehm believe was part of their coping mechanism that got them through the tense situations of combat. The book is a salute to the young men of the Vietnam War Era who answered their country’s call.

    About the author:

Ron Boehm was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduation from Southeastern Louisiana College he went through OCS in the U.S. Marine       Corps and was commissioned an officer. He was one of the first group of aviation students the Marine Corps sent through U.S. Air Force Flight School.             After earning his Air Force and Navy Wings’ he flew the A6A Intruder in combat and served as a Forward Air Controller with the 7th Marine Regiment in       Vietnam. Ron Currently lives in Houston, Texas has two children and owns a construction company. This is his second book.

SC EP:110 Hunter shoots a Sasquatch

    in Science

The listener writes “I still have a hard time understanding what happened to me. I was charged after being hit with a baseball sized rock, after I fell down by my truck it came over the bed of my truck I was able to pull my pistol and shot it over the left eye and it ran away but continued to throw rocks. My encounter is much more than I can write in an email……”

I spoke to the gentleman this morning and he has agreed to come on the show. I find him to be a very credible witness and some of the behaviors he describes I have heard first hand but have not talked about on the show. He was hunting and a rock hit him in the chest, the witness describes how the creature threw the rock which is very interesting because I have heard this “off the air” several times. He caught sight of the creature and ran for his truck. When he got to his truck he threw his rifle in the back and dropped his keys. The witness was upset, shaking and fell to the ground. The creature cleared a distance of 75 yards in a matter of seconds and was now on the other side of his truck. The creature came over the bed of his truck and was within a few feet of him. He describes in detail what it looked like. He said the creature kept screaming at him and was moving closer. He pulled out his pistol and shot it right above its left eye. The caliber he was using was not enough to penetrate the skull but he knows he hit it. He said that the creature let out another scream and ran off. He was able to get into his truck and drive off. As he was driving a soccer ball sized rock hit the rear panel of his truck. As you can imagine the witness still struggles with what happened to him to this day.

Vanguard of Renaissance - Factions of Freedom Ep. 116

    in Homeschooling

    Demons, Spirits & Dimensions

Lesser known spirits that can be invoked through magick, demons are usually regarded as malevolent or evil, the contrast to angels. Like angels, demons are numberless.

    They are unruly.

Most of the information and lore we have originates from Babylonians, Persians, Egyptian and even Talmudic tales.

They are ever present enemies posing a danger to Humanity.

They were created by God, on the first Sabbath Eve at Twilight. Dusk fell before God finished them, and this they have no bodies. They have wings and exist BETWEEN Humans and Angels- Roughly BETWEEN the Earth and the Moon- and are less powerful than angels.

These beings frequent uninhabited and unclean places, and once they attach themselves to a person, family, or object bad luck usually follows. Because they are between Heaven and Earth, they can prowl the world actively looking for souls to subvert and manipulate.
