TONIGHT: Sat April 25, 2015 on NU Day "Justice For Rekia Boyd"
Don't let another get away with out right MURDER...
Darren Savin the off duty police officier who shot 22 year old Rekia Boyd in the head after he fired rounds into a park in Chicago filled with young Black females and males has been acquitted. Many ask, why and how could this be? And why is it that when it comes to the murder of Black women and girls, why is there so little said and less even done; thus such a minimum outcry for Justice We must also take a closer look at the increase of abuses that are now being placed upon the seniors/elders in the Black/African family and community. And ask, what can we do must we do to stop it. Tonight, as we examine the killing of Rekia Boyd's and other murders of Black females by police we will aslo look closer at the overall acceptance of gender related violations of African/Black women and girls in our communities and worldwide. Also: Updates on Mumia Abu Jamal. Actions Must be Take NOW !!! AND: From the "WE CHARGE GENOCIDE" Projecr Eugenics used on Black women here in the US during the last 50 years and presently today in Israel.
Brian Elders Roofing Dissolution and a word about Freddie Gray
Bad customer service from one of the leading roofing company's in the Mid-South. It's a shame when the company you keep is only in it for the money and decides what they want to do and completely disregard what the customer wants and asks for. The other issue is the case of Baltimore's Freddie Gray, a terrible tragedy where a lay person could see that he was in pain and injured before the police so brutally dragged his limp body to the van and refused to call for help, causing him to die.
Patricia J. Turner (Pati) is a Biological Anthropologist who spent 12 years working as a Marine Scientist. During that time she began studying anthropology and became deeply committed to conserving the wisdom of our indigenous brothers and sisters who still live sustainably on Mother Earth. In 2004 she Founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization: Tierra Sagrada, The Sacred Earth Foundation dedicated to the conservation of indigenous cultures, their territories and their wisdom.
During the last 15 years, The Sacred Earth Foundation has hosted indigenous Shamans, Elders and Medicine Women from Greenland to Peru to share their wisdom within our communities. Profound healing both physical and spiritual has been witnessed during these workshops and private healing ventures. The Sacred Earth Foundation also offers opportunities for Sacred Sweat Lodges, programs of initiations, ancient traditional weddings and, in May, they will offer the ceremony of The Long Dance in the traditon of Beautiful Painted Arrow, a Picurus Pueblo/ Ute Native American who is a visionary of highest esteem.
During her journey on this path, Pati has found immense joy in the guidance she has received. She has seen many young adults, who carried great fear over the condition of Mother Earth, find a new way of walking on her skin with great hope for the future. In a culture that is so plagued with depression, she has witnessed the healing joy that accompanies the ancient ceremonies and beliefs of our great teachers who live in harmony with Mother Earth.

The VOICE OF CHANGE, hosted by Sharon Ann Wikoff, welcomes Larry Kiser to the program. The title of the program is: Larry Kiser’s Story: From Lawyer to Healer & Why You Have the Power to Heal. Larry has worked in the healing field for over 20 years. His practice is influenced by study and work with Russian scientists, an ex CIA operative, Mayan Elders, a Shaolin Master, the Emissaries of Divine Light, various Spiritual teachers, years of working with clients, and his own Spiritual Guides. His teaching and practice includes national and international work in the U.S., Canada, Germany, Latvia, Mexico and Hong Kong. As a former lawyer he taught classes in universities and lectured in various states.
Larry will share his story of how he migrated from an attorney, prosecuting white-collar crimes like securities fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud, into the world of Energetic Healing. Today he teaches workshops where people learn how to do self-healing and assist others to heal themselves. Larry will talk about the principles behind the following two statements: You are greater than you think you are...with abilities beyond what you think you have AND why you have the power to heal! He will offer an energetic clearing for listeners to assist them in realizing their potential. Larry’s deep understanding of the body’s fields of energy and the principles of quantum physics allows him to facilitate release of the deep patterns of memory that influence our life issues and capacities --be they mental, physical, emotional, psychological, psychic, spiritual, or karmic.

Nothing can protect us from receiving our share of dark days. We all have them. But we can do something to transform tragedies into opportunities for growth, enlightenement and positive change. And that's what this intense and captivating book, No Storm Lasts Forever: Transforming Suffering into Insight is all about.
The author joins us this week to speak from experience. A brilliant cardiologist honored by the American Heart Association as a former National Physician of the Year, Dr. Terry Gordon experienced a horrific family tragedy that caused him to re-think everything. This book documents his weathering of the emotional storm and the paradoxically positive, lifelong blessings he gained from the experience.

Culture evolves through women, primarily based on what we teach our daughters. The aberrations in our culture, everything from excessive hair weaves to "twirking" on a YouTube video, evolves out of a message given to our daughters of what they must do to be acceptable females. Mothers can only pass down the wisdom they have, and when mothers come from a generation that defines success as a dollar amount on a paycheck, many mothers were driven to put full energy into a job or career and leave the child rearing to the TV. This, of course, has produced disasterous results. Now mothers are reconnecting with their daughters to examine what lessons can be learned from both the elders and the youth as we prepare to work together to create a new culture
