Blessed! A Study of Luke Chapter 6

    in Christianity

Today on "Moving Forward"  we will be in study of Luke, chapter 6, and the question I ask you is, "are you blessed?"  Let's break it down:

20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

If any of these verses reminded you of yourself you are blessed.  Walk in your blessings and know that the Lord is with you wherever you go!

"Today this Scripture is fulfilled." Luke 4 & 5

    in Christianity

Luke 5:4, 6, 10 Luke 4:18-19, 21 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.” “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,Because He has anointed MeTo preach the gospel to the poor;He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,To proclaim liberty to the captivesAnd recovery of sight to the blind,To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

“Don’t Be Afraid; Just Believe." A Study of Luke - Chapter 8

    in Christianity

Can you image hearing that your child who was sick is now dead, and being told, "don't be afraid; just believe," just believe your child is healed?  As we study the book of Luke, chapter 8 you will see this senario.  Join us on our journey as we move forward in the word of the Lord.

"49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”

50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. 52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”"

53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” 55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.

  • Bellview Lectures Michael Hatcher Luke 20 "No Marrying in the Resurrection"

    in Religion

What is the meaning of no marrying in the resurrection? Many believe that it precludes marriage today and is proof that we are not in the age of the resurrection, that it is a yet future event. Often it is used as an argument against Covenant Eschatology. In this broadcast we critique the amillennial view and interpretation advanced by Hatcher.

The study of the resurrection and the end of the age connects the text in Luke 20 with the message of Daniel 12 and the parable of the Tares and Wheat. Hatcher makes several false claims. He erroneously claimed we do not believe in the resurrection body, and we don't belive in the resurrection. These statements are untrue and will be explained clearly in the broadcast.

Then he acknowledged that the Sadduccees quotes the Levirate marriage law, another critical point in this discussion. Tune in for a great discussion. Also visit: http://facebook.com/allthingsfulfilled and www.allthingsfulfilled.com. Also visit www.donkpreston.com and bibleprophecy.com

  • What Would You Do? Luke Chapter 7

    in Christianity

Some of us have heard the term, he/she, "can't hold water," meaning they can't keep a secret.  How could Jesus expect a blind or deaf person, who can now see and hear not to tell how it happened?  What would you do?

Mark 7:36-37 Then He commanded them that they should tell no one; but the more He commanded them, the more widely they proclaimed it. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”
