KING ME- Rekindle old flames, mending relationships and moving on.

    in Radio

Lost loves. First loves. We all have them but, given the opportunity, what to do when the possibility of reunion comes up? A psychiatrist offers her story, as well as what to look for. It is believed that most men and women carry around, throughout their lives, the image of someone they loved in the past but with whom they did not ultimately join their lives. Someone they continue to wonder about through the years, sometimes almost obsessively -- particularly when things are not going well in their lives -- and sometimes not at all. Still, that figure haunts them and makes them wonder how different their lives may have developed with that other companion. At times they pine and long physically for the presence of this first and sometimes only real love.

Some of the hottest and most passionate relationships usually take place between couples of teenage years. Nothing is more lustful than two teenagers in love. It also hurts the most when it ends. Many times, if the ending happens for reasons other than the couple is just tired of each other and ready to move on, the love becomes unrequited. Even though these two individuals may move forward in life and even go on to marry other people, they never forget their first love. This love is something that may never leave them no matter how far they travel.

That’s why it’s very tempting to rekindle an old flame if the opportunity presents itself. You’ve probably heard many tales of how couples that have been separated for years suddenly find themselves back together and realize they still have the same feelings for each other as they did when they were a couple the first time around. Those are very possible and very heartwarming stories. However, it doesn’t always turn out that way. Many times, it’s just the fervent wish to revisit a time in life where the feelings were exciting and the couple was beautiful.

    Wild-Card Weekend Wrap-Up

    in Lifestyle

Starting a new week on All Subjects Everything, and it's only right we recap the craziness that was the Wild-Card round of the NFL playoffs.

We'll lead off with the Bengals-Steelers shenanigans, which of course led to Pittsburgh winning the battle (the game) but possibly losing the war (Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown injured) and the culture of being out of control that haunts Bengals coach Marvin Lewis.

We'll talk about the Chiefs, who won their first playoff game in 22 seasons and why this might not be the last one for Andy Reid and Company.

Then a switch over to the NFC, where the Packers and Seahawks moved on in different ways and why it's never easy being a kicker.

The Ghost of Slave Mentality Part 11

    in Spirituality

In response to the constant request from some of my listening audience, to do a part 11  to my cd on "The Ghost of Slavery Still Haunts the African American in the 21st Century", I have chosen to speak on this subject for today's discussion. As most African Americans are unaware that they are existing in a mental state of lethargy; it must be understood that the reason for this state of existance is not by accident or from a genetic inheritance. As has been stated before, the African Americans are builders of civilizations, not just for the African nations, but for all nations. This lack of ambitious zest and the desire to be foremost in their intellecticual accomplishments is the results of a delibrate, and  carefully, manipulated plan designed to rob them of their intellectual desire for high achievements, and to keep them subservant to a system of control through enslavement of the mind.
