Artist and Composer Mark Kostabi was born in Los Angeles in 1960 to Estonian immigrants. Raised in Whittier, California, he studied drawing and painting at California State University, Fullerton. Kostabi moved to New York in 1982, and by 1984, emerged as a leading figure in the East Village art scene where he cultivated a provocative media persona by publishing self-interviews reflecting on the commodification of contemporary art. By 1987, his work was widely exhibited in New York galleries as well as prominently throughout the United States, Japan, Germany and Australia. He inspired extensive international press coverage in 1988 when he founded Kostabi World, his Manhattan art studio, which employs numerous painting assistants and idea people. Beginning in the early 1990s Kostabi's work has been widely exhibited throughout Italy. Kostabi established a second home in Rome in 1996. It is in the wee hours of Thanksgiving morning and I am wide away. This show has been on my mind to do since I saw the awful video of the murder of Laquan McDonald. I paused at the beginning of the show because I think it has been said that all of this went down in 30 seconds meaning from the time the officer arrived on scene and fired 16 shots in LaQuan who was already down from the first few shots. But as usual you have those who see nothing wrong. On CNN I saw one of their regulars who come on during police shootings and he had the audacity to say that the killing of African-Americans involving police is not an epidemic. I sat here shaking my head as of last year there was Eric Garner, Tamir Rice and the awful not guilty verdict of Micheal Brown that was happening last year around this time. I can remember almost feeling guilty to sit at my Thanksgiving table being happy when I knew that The Brown family had an empty chair. The officials of the Chicago were forced to release that video and they were forced to arrest the officer involved. But their lenghthy investigation stinks to high heavens. I have tried time and time to again to give Rahm Emmanual the benefit of the doubt but the writing is on the wall. This cannot go on! This young man had a hard life and the system have not only failed him once but twice. I have been watching the coverage of the protests and I thank those on social media who have kept me up on everything happening. So as all of this plays out think about what you are thankful for?

1) We'll also give an update on the Laquan McDonald murder case. Officer Jason Van Dyke has been charged with 1st Degree Murder but why did it take 400 days when the shooting was on video? 2) Thursday is Thanksgiving. We'll deal with some of the history of the holiday that Dr. Ishakamusa Barashango called "Misgiving Day". 3) Former Oklahoma City Police Officer Daniel Holtzclaw is allegedly intimidating witnesses during a Sex Crimes Trial where he is facing 36 counts of rape, sexual battery, etc. All of his 13 victims are African American Women. Maybe that's why there is not a lot of Mainstream Media coverage of this story. 4) This date in African American History.

You know at first I was just telling my self, that a tragedy is a tragedy and I am right, but the way some lives are potrayed more valuable or important in the media bothers me ! I feel for all humanity equally but a lot of people I am not so sure ? I know " France " is a bigger story for ratings and " Politics " reign but to be so obvious in there bias media coverage is shameful ! Now I know some people may say, I am only talking about this topic because I am an African American but I have been paying attention to social media post about the bias and that is a story init self ! I wish some one would explain to me from the media, why coverage on one tragedy is more news worthy or important then another ?
