Join Kokomon this Thursday morning at 9:00am on blogtalkradio.com, "A Happiness Index" and share your point of view. Where does joy and sorrow come from? Isn't the heart where we experience joy and sorrow? How can it not be? Is not the cup that holds your wine, the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven? When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow is the same source of your joy. When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. Only when you are empty are you at standstill and balanced. Explore with Kokomon and learn the source of your joy and your sorrow and the art of detachment. Tune in to "A Happiness Index" and be at peace and in joy.

This weeks guess: The web series The Ethical Slut
Dotty and Jackie want to spice up their marriages. But are they cut out for open relationships? Reality is funnier than fantasy in this dark comedy.
Completely produced in Madison, WI, this dark comedy explores open relationships (or polyamory) in a menagerie of relationships that center around two friends, Dotty and Jackie. Dotty is an east-side marriage counselor who desires answers to the mundacity of monogamy. Jackie, a west-side realtor, needs her own escape from an apparently loveless marriage. Will they realize their dream of being Ethical Sluts?
Creator and Director Ben Fritz met with the authors of the popular book, The Ethical Slut, and was given rights to create a web-series based on principles and themes from the book.

When I think of how fussy women are about their looks, it drives me crazy. We aren’t perfect, we never will be and that’s ok. We weren’t made to have perfect bodies, our bodies change constantly. We were made to ‘be’ and ‘look’ different, but because we don’t look like that’s ‘not’ ok according to the media and our world. In this ebook, I’m here to tell you that the media is wrong and it’s ok to look and be who we want to be regardless of whether you’re a size zero, 10, 24 or 34, whether you have freckles, a big nose, tiny eyes, wrinkles, flabby arms, bone rack, rolls of fat or not. You are ok no matter what the media says and you need to stop letting the media control your thoughts because they aren’t the ones living your life, you are!
"If it isn't love,Why do I feel this way?
Why do they stay on my mind?
If it isn't love,Why does it hurt so bad?
Make me feel so sad inside,If it isn't love?"
Feeling lovable, loving and loved are all probably reasonable labels for emotions that flow out of love itself. Those feelings may come and go but the love that underlies them is probably most accurately understood as stable, dependable and consistently present, not temporary. It is reasonable to think that it takes a lot more than a mere, temporary emotion to achieve all that. It is true that a person saying they love you may have what can be called varying and various love feelings for both, along with that love, but there is far more to love than just those feelings.

Most people acknowledge that mental health issues are not handled as seriously as other health issues. There are misunderstandings, victim blaming, and the inaccurate belief that someone living with mental illness can simply 'cheer up' or get through it. What most people don't know is the diverse ways in which social workers exist in the world of mental health. There is not only a myriad of ways that social workers practice, but also a requirement for diversity and cultural competence and an ever-present need for diversity among providers. Join us as we discuss these issues and their impact on the trans* community.

The government is instituted among men and women to secure the unalienable rights of the human being, life, liberty and the presitute of happiness. Government is supposed to secure these rights, these are not just civil rights they are human rights from which the Government gets it’s just power (not unjust power) based on the consent of the govern. This is not what we have in America we have a governments that too often abuse their power, and they act like a click of criminals...disturbing or robing its citizens of their human rights! That makes them a criminal of the first order.
We have been robbed of life, liberty and the pursuit of true happiness. Some people are dumb enough to think they are happy in what they pursue, which is our own self destructive behavior. Their cheap happiness is not real, it only gratifies the sense but it does not feed the soul. The so called government has taken from us life. Life and love is the same word when you have love you have life and when you have life you have love. Government needs to produce an environment that allows people to love one another and no government can produce that without righteousness. Here in America people have given their all at the call of the government and now the soldiers are living under bridges in cardboard boxes. They are sick because America sent them to war and now she will not look after her own veterans. She has robbed them of the right of education and of family and of scientific knowledge that would to advance their skills, gifts and talents. The present government has been unncessarily destructive of the people’s inalienable rights.
