God In the Midst otherwise known as G.I.T.M or GITM Radio is an apostolic ministry whose charge is to help encourage, edify and equip the people of God who are called to Home Churches, Small Churches and Para Church ministries. Home or house Churches usually have 20 people or less, Small Churches are up to 100 adults and Para Church ministries could be Bible Studies, Prayer groups, men or women’s ministries that are not Churches in and of themselves but walk alongside the Church. We are featuring one Home, Small or Para Church ministry each month by interviewing them.  We hope that as you hear them tell their personal testimonies, share their  history and current activities,  the Lord will confirm what He has placed on your heart or it may encourage you to step out boldly …it may even catapult you to that next dimension in the Lord & ministry.  Our Host is Apostle Barbara Kizzie

St. Marguerite Bourgeoys - Without Walls

    in Religion

Rebroadcast of the long running radio program, "The Ave Maria Hour", a presentation of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. www.AtonementFriars.org

“God closes a door and then opens a window,” people sometimes say when dealing with their own disappointment or someone else’s. That was certainly true in Marguerite’s case. Children from European as well as Native American backgrounds in seventeenth-century Canada benefited from her great zeal and unshakable trust in God’s providence.

Marguerite at the age of 20 believed that she was called to religious life. Her applications to the Carmelites and Poor Clares were unsuccessful.

In 1654, the governor of the French settlement in Canada invited her to come to Canada and start a school in Ville-Marie.

Soon after starting a school, she realized her need for coworkers. Returning to Troyes, she recruited a friend, Catherine Crolo, and two other young women. In 1667 they added classes at their school for Indian children. A second trip to France three years later resulted in six more young women and a letter from King Louis XIV, authorizing the school.

Marguerite established a school for Indian girls in Montreal. At the age of 69, she walked from Montreal to Quebec in response to the bishop’s request to establish a community of her sisters in that city. By the time she died, she was referred to as the “Mother of the Colony.” Marguerite was canonized in 1982.

NOI Series: Richard Hassan, NOI Pioneer (since 1949) in Philly Mosque No. 12

    in Culture

The Allah Team Radio presents: The History of the NOI Series

    Interview with RICHARD HASSAN
    (NOI Pioneer since 1949)

The Historical Origins of Philly Mosque No. 12 & Atlanta Mosque No. 15

In 1949, after being in prison with the Hon. Elijah Muhammad in Washington, DC, a barber named Mr. Charlie X Simms, returned to his barbershop in Philadelphia where he started teaching a group of youth, among them Jeremiah Shabazz, Karriem Muhammad and Richard Hassan. From there these NOI Pioneers would start the beginning of Muhammad's Mosque No. 12.

As young brothers, Richard Hassan, Jeremiah Shabazz and others established and moved in "The FOI House". The Hon. Elijah Muhammad sent Min. Malcolm X (and subsequently Capt. Yusef Shah) to live with them in the FOI House and establish Malcolm's first Ministry as Philadelphia became a training ground for other NOI greats including Min. Louis Farrakhan, Imam W.D. Mohammed and Min. James Shabazz.

Bro. Richard Hassan will walk us through his first-hand experiences as a part of this inner circle, the history of Mosque #12, and how Min. Malcolm, Min. Jeremiah, Min. James X, himself and others established Mosque #15 in Atlanta in the Deep South.

Join us to hear the testimony of this Great NOI Pioneer about his powerful experiences!

Not So Mad Science #HaroldMuhammad 323.927.2913

    in Science

    Hosted By: Harold Muhammad

Harold, an eclectic and voracious reader, began his venture in the world of the written word as a child of 2 years.  Scraps of paper, candy wrappers, dictionary's right through the entire encyclopedia Britannica. Yet Harold was driven to books of the sciences. Physics, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, he met them all with great wonder and fascination. He delved into each discipline as if his very life depended upon understanding its depth.

It was not until the words of The Hon. Elijah Muhammad that the essence and understanding of the sciences began to have true purpose and meaning. He said, "all there is to know is written in a book, read".

Harold began his collegiate pursuit at Hampton Institute; he then forayed to Fairleigh Dickenson University. At FDU the practice of the Social Sciences, public activism, and public speaking became a trusted part of mental fabric.

Harold is the husband to Celestine Muhammad, and the father of 10 extraordinary children, and 8 grandchildren. Harold has the benefit of having the most exceptional and wondrous teachers to whom he owes all that he has learned, will learn and knows to this very day, The Most  Hon. Elijah Muhammad, the Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan, his Father Alfred Eatman, and his Grandfather  the Late Captain, Harold D. Hook.

    Justice Department Sues Ferguson

    in Politics

The Department of Justice filed a 56-page lawsuit against the city of Ferguson on Wednesday afternoon, citing "a pattern or practice of conduct that deprives persons of rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution or laws of the United States."

“The residents of Ferguson have waited nearly a year for their city to adopt an agreement that would protect their rights and keep them safe," Lynch said in a prepared statement. "They have waited nearly a year for their police department to accept rules that would ensure their constitutional rights and that thousands of other police departments follow every day.  They have waited nearly a year for their municipal courts to commit to basic, reasonable rules and standards.  But residents of Ferguson have suffered the deprivation of their constitutional rights – the rights guaranteed to all Americans – for decades.  They have waited decades for justice.  They should not be forced to wait any longer.”Attorney General Loretta Lynch ST Louis Post Dispatch
