Music is everywhere and is everything. It is also alive! Music has been the one constant social and emotional thing that drops us to our knees, put us on our feet, have us cry out in pain and even shout to the top of our lungs with joy. It has brought us together in victories and defeats, consoled us in dying times and joined us together in holy matrimonies. ”Remember a song and you will remember a place and time in your life”. That is a quote from music’s soul stirrer, R&B singer/songwriter K’Jon. He will forever be linked to many people for his hit song, “On The Ocean”, which gave him a #1 song on the radio for six weeks straight. Amazingly, his last album ”I Get Around” also debuted at #1 on the Hip Hop/R&B album charts and later made Billboards Top 50 R&B/Hip Hop Album of 2009! The album was so well received by audiences nationwide that K’Jon was nominated for the Best New Artist category at the 2010 NAACP Image Awards. Bio from K' Jon Official website.

Over the last few years I’ve experienced extreme ups and downs with life, depression, disappointment with my career and even the feeling of being left behind,” confesses urban inspirational vocalist DeWayne Woods who burst on to the music scene in a big way with his 2006 Top 5 radio smash “Let Go” that was written and produced by Maroon 5’s P.J. Morton. The song spent a solid year on various Billboard Magazine singles charts and won him three Stellar Awards including Best New Artist of the Year. After other radio hits such as “Living on the Top” and “I Won’t Be Afraid,” things quieted down for the Kansas City native and that brings us to the themes that echo throughout Woods’ first CD in four years, “Life Lessons” (Soul Therapy/ Central South Distribution). “When my manager and I started receiving music from songwriters, I always made sure that the songs we chose reflected some part of my life. I believe that’s why `Let Go’ was so special, because I lived it. As the record started to build and we worked with the writers about certain things I wanted to express, I realized it became a teaching record full of lessons that I’ve learned over the years. I’ve gone through these experiences not just for me, but to help someone who may be experiencing the same things.”
I had broken dreams; I was so full of pain
But then You came and now I’ll never be the same again
I had tried it all and I wanted to change
And right then you came and now I’ll never be the same again
Whether it’s a new relationship or a renewed sense of faith, many people have been in a similar situation as the one described in the engaging song “Never Be The Same Again.” Much of this thought-provoking Urban Inspirational album revolves around the notions of comfort and hope. There’s

Timotha Lanae is an American soul songstress, a dynamic dancer and an award winning theatrical performer who seamlessly joins together her passion for music and theater. Born and raised in Minneapolis, USA, Timotha Lanae is one of the most prominent and significant artists to emerge from the post – Prince era Minneapolis music scene.
Named after her father, Timothy, Timotha credits his rich musical collection as being responsible for her love of music. She grew up listening to her father’s music collection of 50’s legends, the Motown artists of the 60’s, the R&B/funk/gospel artists of the 70’s and the Minneapolis sound of the 80’s. The first track on her debut album RED, Smooth Music, describes her sound as “A touch of Jazz, R&B, Soul and Hip Hop too, I mix these all together to make my grooves…”.
Timotha Lanae wrote ten of the 12 songs on her debut album RED. RED is a two-part project that bridges the gap between the record industry and musical theater. Timotha Lanae drew inspiration from every day life to write her singles – Radio, Talkin’ To Myself, People Pleaser, Gettin’ To Know You and My Man. Please Pleaser reached number #6 on the UK Soul Charts. Timotha Lanae is the brainchild behind the concepts of her music videos. In the music videos for Talkin To Myself and People Pleaser, she bridges the gap between her love of theater and recording by incorporating her original musical REDdington into the storyline. She portrays herself in these videos, while also portraying, Eva Reddington, the main character from her original musical REDdington.
The “Secret” is out! 2013 Grammy winner Gregg Karukas is back with a new collection featuring his signature piano touch, pristine production, and melodies that are both soulful and sophisticated. Organic, funky, and melodic is how the original Rippingtons keyboardist describes his latest, long awaited 12th solo project, "Soul Secrets". Gregg's elegant grand piano melodies and infectious grooves are everywhere; this time around he digs into his roots, featuring the classic Fender Rhodes, Wurlie, Minimoog and B3 keyboards quite a bit.
At a generous and expansive 14 tracks and no covers, "Soul Secrets" reveals Karukas as an artist who has refined his sound to be instantly recognizable while constantly exploring a wide range of styles and grooves – from old school soul-jazz, with hints of gospel, R&B and funk to the world/samba grooves he immersed himself in while touring with Brazilian legends Sergio Mendes and Dori Caymmi. The album’s debut single, “Elegant Nights” is classic Karukas; it was the #1 Most Added Track in its first week on radio. The live interplay sizzles as Gregg surrounds himself with an all-star guest list that includes his friends Rick Braun, Euge Groove, guitarists Ricardo Silveira, Michael O’Neill, Adam Hawley and James Harrah; violinist Charlie Bisharat, Luis Conte, Eric Valentine, Nate Phillips; vocalists Shelby Flint and Ron Boustead and 21 year old rising sax star and occasional touring partner Vincent Ingala.
Calabasas, Calif. (15 August 2014): Singer-songwriter Kiki Ebsen stubbornly refused her famous father’s repeated suggestions to learn how to sing jazz standards. Rebelliously she insisted upon forging her own path as a solo artist and accompanying keyboardist-vocalist with a bevy of A-list pop stars. Eleven years after the passing of her dad, actor Buddy Ebsen, Kiki will pay tribute by releasing exactly the type of collection he fervently urged her to record, “Scarecrow Sessions” on September 30 on the Painted Pony Media label. The material comes from The Great American Songbook, a stunning original (“Missing You”) penned by the song and dance man turned movie and television star, and songs associated with his career, including an ill-fated starring role in “The Wizard Of Oz.” The first single prefacing the acoustic jazz set produced by David Mann, “If I Only Had A Brain,” is the No. 2 most added radio single this week.
“We are losing the iconic talents many of us grew up with. By recording these songs, I hope not only to honor my father’s memory and his love of jazz, but to create a musical statement that is truly my own. I’m connecting his past to my present in a way that will no doubt leave me forever changed,” said Ebsen, who completed the album as a Father’s Day offering after a successful Kickstarter campaign. “Through this journey I have discovered my voice. A simple yet beautiful tone that emanates from a true place in my heart; a place of lightness and ease.”
