If you're a 2013-14 Los Angeles Lakers diehard and need to vent about Mike D'Antoni, Jim Buss or the Lakers' inability to stay healthy, then this show is definitely catered to YOU. And, oh yeah, we'll look back on the 2013 BCS Championship game and consider if this installment with the 2013 Florida State Seminoles and the 2013 Auburn Tigers was the best BCS championship game EVER. Also, we'll preview the 2014 NFL Playoffs Divisional round, react to the Andrew Bynum trade to and subsequent release from the 2013-14 Chicago Bulls as well as discuss the 2014 Major League Baseball Hall of Fame class. Why did Craig Biggio fall just 2 votes shy of qualifying and will Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGuire ever make it in? This is must-hear radio at its best courtesy of Diehard Sports Radio, which is sports talk radio for true sports diehards.
I hope everyone is enjoying their three day weekend. Today on SheridanHoopsRadio, hosts Chris Sheridan and Jabari Davis will focus on the struggling Los Angeles Lakers. Eric Pincus of the LA Times and Hoopsworld.com will be the first guest, Gary Lee of Lakers Nation will come on at around 1:20, and our SheridanHoops.com's own Mark Heisler will close out the show.
Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Alex Rodriguez, oh my. Life as a superstar isn't always that rosy and for those 3 superstars of their respective sports, these days aren't very rosy. The Black Mamba and his Los Angeles Lakers are 0-5 to begin the season Lebron and his Cleveland Cavaliers are 1-3 so far. ARod took his disgraced career to the next level by admitting the obvious. What's next? A plane flying overhead with a sign that says, "Fire John Idzik"? Oh wait, that actually happened, too. The core show panelists are going to try to put all of this craziness into some kind of perspective. Enjoy!
After going 0-8 in preseason & starting off the regular season 1-4, the Los Angeles Lakers get rid of Head Coach Mike Brown. The Lakers have the worst record in the NBA's Western Conference. Should the organization have fired him only 5 games in? Who will be the next coach to take over? Who's the best fit? Answers in our Lakers segment tonight. Things are heating up in the NBA.
To be a Lakers apologist is one thing when they have one of the worse records in the NBA. But it is another thing to be constantly defending the greatness of Kobe Bryant. We will discuss the puzzling future of the Lakers and what we expect from Kobe Bryant in 2014. Which pieces will stay in the Lakers cube from this season as we build a new foundation? Is Pau Gasol still a key building block to keep? Is Greg Monroe the future big man to pursue as a restricted Free Agent? Will the X- factor be Xavier Henry or Dante eXum? Lakers go into the lottery praying that their ping pong ball is selected to jump into the top 3. Good luck prayers and wishes will be aired out. Preacher Kevin Ollie is not Lakers savior as UConn Head Coach signed an extension today. Will Mark Jackson or Byron Scott take us to the promise land of the NBA Finals before Kobe retires?
In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will be talking NBA all night. The NBA Draft lottery has been secured. The Minnesota Timberwolves will have the first overall selection, in the 2015 draft. Then next four picks; to round out the top five, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, and the Orlando Magic. Who do you think the Timberwolves should select with the first overall pick?
The Wisconsin Badgers will most likely have two first round picks, Sam Dekker and Frank "The Tank" Kaminsky. A mock draft from RotoWorld has Kaminsky going 13th, to the Phoenix Suns. Sam Dekker is projected 22nd, to the Chicago Bulls. If you were a GM which of these two players would you select first? Listen in and call the show with your thoughts!
Which football player has the best explosion index? How effective will a dominant defensive back in college be in a passing-oriented league like the NFL? Does long speed automatically translate to separation for a wide receiver prospect? If you really want to be prepared for the 2015 NFL Draft in order to understand the best player for YOUR team, then you don't want to miss the Core Show as we bring on an experiened NFL draft expert that will tell it like it is. The Passo Garage will continue to sound off on Bob Lange, Director of Communications for the San Francisco 49ers. We will have more Los Angeles Lakers talk in which we discuss who should and should not come back to the Lakers for the 2015-2016 season.
Vinny & Terry reflect on the Kentucky Wildcats 38-1 season and Final Four run that concluded against the Wisconsin Badgers. They'll talk about the Kentucky Wildcats NBA decisions.
There will be some NBA discussion: New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder. There will be some MLB talk. Gotta as Terry about his boy Byron Scott and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kelly Thompson stops by to talk BBN and Fantasy Football!
On Tuesday night, The Minnesota Timberwolves won the NBA Draft Lottery and the #1 pick in the 2015 draft. The New York Knicks, with the second-best odds for the #1 pick, fell two spots to #4. The Philadelphia 76ers will pick third, the Los Angeles Lakers second. Is it time to do away with the current lottery system that encourages weak teams to "tank" for higher picks? There are some alternatives worth serious consideration. The Chicago Blackhawks and Anaheim Ducks played an instant classic Game 2 of their Western Conference Finals series with the Hawks getting the win in triple overtime. After such an immense effort from both teams, how will each respond in Game 3? I've got the keys to the game. All this plus your phone calls at (347) 327-9183!

Our 2015 NFL Draft Insider, Mr. Sean Mewsch, returns to point out and explain rumors surrounding the upcoming draft. The Core Show will also host a debate between a Los Angeles Lakers diehard and a Los Angeles Clippers diehard based around the premise that rooting for the Clippers is the same thing as rooting for Los Angeles. We will also react to what Cleveland Cavaliers forward, Kevin Love, said about his shoulder injury after locking arms with Boston Celtics center, Kelly Olynyk along with more 2015 NBA Playoffs talk. We will react to Bruce Jenner and his admission that he self-identifies as a transgender woman. Is it a publicity gimmick or a lifestyle he's been waiting to live his whole life?
