Debut Author Vincent Robert Annunziato join Lori Hays on Behind the Words

    in Books

Join host Lori Hays on Behind the Words for a conversation with author Vincent Robert Annunziato.

    Saturday, March 29th 10:30 CDT/11:30 EDT

    In his own words:

I am currently a government employee in charge of managing one of the largest Civilian IT projects in the nation. I am very happily married for almost 20 years and the father of three children. I have been on a tear to fulfill several personal dreams of mine that stemmed from my twenties. The first one was to build a large terrarium with the eventual goal to put in a very exotic lizard called a Panther Chameleon. The second personal goal which should be of no surprise was to write a novel. Both of which I have completed although I still have not purchased the Chameleon.

Suzi M as James Glass join Behind the Words with Lori Hays

    in Books

Join Behind the Words host Lori Hays for a conversation with author Suzi M who writes as James Glass about his newest release!

Suzi M writing as James Glass

Lurking in a Pennslyvania town near historic Gettysburg, Suzi M is weaving webs of horror: including gothic, noir, ghosts, demons, angels, occult, and the occasional historic and/or post apocalyptic thriller. Her storytelling has been compared to that of Tanith Lee and HP Lovecraft. Writing under multiple pseudonyms, Suzi’s writing reflects and explores the thrill and the secrecy; the untold mysteries waiting in the shadows. In addition to a few other humans, including the tiny Hypnospawn, Suzi shares her home with a 30lb black house panther names Mr. Pants. When she’s not busy with her own work or getting pictures and autographs with people who recognize her on the street, Suzi helps support the efforts of independent artists, writers, musicians, and film-makers. She is also a self-described “fiberfreak,” finding time to spin, knit, crochet or weave when the muse allows. She will most likely achieve fame and fortune with her hand-crafted socks.

Children's author Linda Covella visits Reverie Radio for Read with the Family

    in Art

Host Lori Hays is very excited to bring you Reverie Radio's Read with the Family month. Our first author conversation is with Linda Covella.

Linda's varied job experience and education (associate degrees in art, business and mechanical drafting & design, a BS degree in Manufacturing Management) have led her down many paths and enriched her life experiences. But one thing she never strayed from is her love of writing.

A writer for over 30 years, her first official publication was a restaurant review column in a local newspaper, and as a freelance writer, she continued to publish numerous articles in a variety of publications. But when she published articles for children's magazines ("Games and Toys in Ancient Rome" and "Traveling the Tokaido in 17th Century Japan," in Learning Through History magazine, and "Barry's Very Grown Up Day" in Zootles magazine), she realized she'd found her niche: writing for children. She wants to share with kids and teens her love of books: the worlds they open, the things they teach, the feelings they express.

Yakimali's Gift, a historical novel for young adults published by Astraea Press, and middle grade paranormal The Castle Blues Quake published by Beau Coup Publishing are her first novels.

She's a member of Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).

No matter what new paths she may travel down, she sees her writing as a lifelong joy and commitment.

    Author Palessa visits Reverie Radio

    in Books

Palessa started reading her first romance novel, at the age of 11. Then she got introduced to V.C. Andrews, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Anne Rice and many more notable contemporary authors as well as some of the classics, Jane Eyre, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Age of Innocence and others. It was during her teenage years that she dabbled in writing. It would take almost two decades, a radical move from the city she grew up in, Miami, FL back to her Caribbean birthplace, and a chance Facebook meeting with Sable Hunter to start the juices flowing again.

After some fits and starts, the Baxter Family Saga was born followed by the historical fiction book Eyubea Girls and now her new release Tobey Fine, book 1 in the Sacked and Tackled series. She considers herself just a storyteller that sees no reason to shy away from the juicier romantic elements. She currently lives in the mountains of Jamaica with her crazy, cracker-munching-mutt Ivy and a farm, primarily managed by agribusiness partner, also known as Dad.
