Evolution FEST: Moving from what you do to who you really are.

    in Lifestyle

Al Diaz and co-host Cathi Ketterling share their insights Evolution Fest: How I met ME. Moving from what you do to who you really are.

    Tuesday, April 28th  10am PST

Cathi Ketterling has been a pharmacist for nearly 20 years. About 10 years ago she felt as though there had to be a better way to help people heal themselves in a more natural way. She began studying everything she could about how to live a healthy, natural lifestyle and how our environment contributes to our overall health. Don't let her mainstream medical degree fool you. Cathi has been studying the natural healing arts since she was in high school and has great knowledge of both main stream medicine and the natural approach of herbs, supplements, diet, meditation, exercise, deep tissue cleansing, etc.

Cathi has been helping clients for the past 4 years create amazing, fun, and healthy lifestyles so they feel fantastic, look younger, become healthier, and even start to reverse disease.

Health turned from her hobby into passion as Cathi realized that living a healthy lifestyle can be flexible, fun, fulfilling, and can help create that for you as well

Toots Lorraine and her band, The Traffic, are out of Jacksonville, FL, but their music is West Coast Jump Blues & Swing with Chicago Blues mixed in for comfort. I will speak with Toots and her guitarist husband, Chad Dant about their journey to this point and the music and the new album, Make It Easy.

COUCH KID NEW MUSIC WORLD PREMIER! My ‘nephew’ Mr. Sipp brings his upcoming album The Mississippi Blues Child to The Couch and we get to share it with y’all a couple of weeks before it drops.  Thrilled to be doing this and let me tell you, I have been playing the darn thing over and over since it arrived!

Then another Couch Kid New Music Segment with Mark Wenner from The Nighthawks comes by for the third time, with music from their new release, Back Porch Party.  Once again, this album is acoustic and was recorded live to tape before a studio audience.  We’ll speak with Mark about the goings on of the Nighthawks and the music on this great new album

Author and Film Director William Dickerson

    in Education

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview William Dickerson.

William Dickerson is a writer and director whose debut feature film, "Detour," was hailed as an “underground hit” by The Village Voice, an “emotional and psychological roller-coaster ride” by The Examiner, and nothing short of “authentic” by The New York Times. He self-released his metafictional satire, "The Mirror," which opened YoFi Fest’s inaugural film festival in 2013 and he alsoe recently completed his third feature film, "Don’t Look Back," for MarVista Entertainment. His award-winning work has been recognized by film festivals across the country. His first book, "No Alternative," was declared, “a sympathetic coming-of-age story deeply embedded in ‘90s music” by Kirkus Reviews. He currently serves on AFI’s Alumni Executive Board and is a Faculty Member at the New York Film Academy.

Based on his challenges while making his debut “microbudget” film, Detour, Dickerson walks the reader through every aspect of making a film in Hollywood. From style direction to financial obstacles, it’s a detailed guide of the experiences of up and coming filmmakers in Los Angeles.

Kirkus Reviews said Detour: Hollywood is “A breezy guide that takes readers inside the sometimes-hair-raising world of do-it-yourself filmmaking, capturing its many frustrations and challenges.”
