Charlotte View presents a different, interesting and insightful look at Death and what author Roberta Grimes, says really happens next.
Roberta Grimes is a business attorney, novelist and speaker based in Austin, Texas, who had two extraordinary experiences of light as a child. In an attempt to understand her experiences, she has spent decades studying nearly 200 years of abundant and consistent communications from the dead and other afterlife-related evidence that eventually enabled her to assemble an in-depth understanding of who we are and the meaning and purpose of our lives.
Roberta has learned so much about the death process and the period immediately following death that in 2010 she published a brief summary of the best information called The Fun of Dying – Find Out What Really Happens Next. Her second book about the afterlife, The Fun of Staying in Touch, will document the many ways in which the dead contact us, and the wonderful recent research that is making it easier for us to contact them.
During this interview Roberta will cover such points as:
What are the kinds of evidence about the afterlife that are available to us?
Where is the afterlife and how does it work?
How is it quantum physics related to the physics of the afterlife?
Why is it that we have little or no awareness of the afterlife?
How does death happen, and how does it “feel”?
What are heaven and hell, and how can we learn the truth about them?
What can we know about the meaning and purpose of our lives?
Roberta is a graduate of Smith College and Boston University School of Law. She blogs and answers questions at robertagrimes.com

Recent research findings indicate that older adults with hearing loss are more likely to develop problems thinking and remembering than older adults whose hearing is normal. It has been reported that as many as 27 million Americans over age 50, including two-thirds of men and women aged 70 years and older, suffer from some form of hearing loss. According to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, close to 8 million people between the ages of 18 and 44 have hearing loss. A study last year from Johns Hopkins University and the National Institute on Aging reported that people with hearing loss have accelerated brain tissue loss, possibly contributing to a decline in memory and other cognitive function.
Also of concern is the fact that only 15 percent of those who need a hearing aid get one, leaving much of the problem and its consequences untreated. Diminished hearing can impact can impact conversation with family members and health care professionals, but what if untreated hearing loss could also impact the diagnosis of dementia?

Join your host Wes Blackman as he welcomes Lake Worth Mayor Pam Triolo and City Manager Michael Bornstein to discuss the Lake Worth 2020 infrastructure improvement program. There is a ballot question related to this program appearing on the August 26th ballot - whether to allow the city to issue bonds totaling $63.5 million to fund the program or to not allow the city to do so. Mayor Triolo and Mr. Bornstein will review the program, tell us about upcoming opportunities to hear more about the plan and try to answer questions that we and they have heard throughout the community on the program.
Here, Mayor Triolo reviews events prior to the election where you can learn more:
"If you still have not been a part of a LW 2020 informational session presented by the city, you still have 3 more chances! Friday night at 7pm they'll be a meeting at the LW Playhouse. Saturday at 5pm the City will be presenting at the College Park Neighborhood Association meeting at First Congregational Church. Sunday at Noon they'll be a 2020 presentation at the Wimbley Gym- 1515 Wingfield Street off of 12th Avenue South- no need for a sitter as they'll be hamburgers, hotdogs, soft drinks and activities for the kids! The vote is this Tuesday folks. No matter what side of the issue you are on, please make sure you get the facts first. There's no need to guess or wonder or speculate. You will be able to ask questions directly to city staff at all of these meetings. And as an aside, please be respectful and kind to one another. Whatever happens, we have a lot of work to do and it always works better when we do it together!"
