Please note that we maybe late in starting our topic due to issues beyond our control.  If co-hosts are not yet at their computers or we get distracted please bear with us.  We are not always perfect.  PONY HUGS.

Also if we continue to be off topic we will change the topic of the show to reflect that.  Also we don't take random callers due to the issues we have had with random people in the chat rooms.  We keep this a family friendly show and want to keep it that way.

    in Real Estate

On "It's My House" we shall continue our gentrification series by taking a look at "financial literacy". One of the major factors behind a neighborhood becoming gentrified is because the people living in that neighborhood on a critical mass level are usually "financially illiterate".

Ignorance is the root cause of gentriciation.

We shall be listening and learning from Albert Higgins who is the C.E.O./President of Aboriginal Financial Solutions. He will be speaking to us about "Financial Literacy" and financial solutions.

*The Pageant Hour* Miss USA 2003 Susie Castillo

    in Women

On March 24, 2003, Susie Castillo was crowned Miss USA in front of millions in a nationally televised live event from San Antonio, Texas.  Representing Massachusetts as its first Latina titleholder, she also was the first Miss USA with Dominican-Puerto Rican ancestry.  In May 2003, Susie travelled to Panama City, Panama to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.  Placing as a Top 15 semi-finalist, her national costume was the appropriately chosen "Wonder Woman".

After her reign as Miss USA, Susie has been quite busy with everything from appearing on On Air with Ryan Seacreat to co-hosting the Miss Teen USA pageant.  She has so many accolades like the above-mentioned that it would be impossible to mention them all here.

One of her most recent and exciting projects is an endeavor that is in conjunction with Miss USA 2004 Shandi Finnessey.  She is the co-founder of Pageantology which is a pageant coaching company that provides workshops and private coaching to pageant contestants.

Blingin the Airwaves with Alexis Spight and Miss Bling

    in Entertainment

Alexis Spight, with her fiery red hair and golden voice, was a favorite of both the judges and audience during Season Five of BET's Sunday Best. While she came up just short of the crown in the 2012 gospel competition, the 20-year-old singer/songwriter is still a winner.  She has completed recording her first album, L.O.L.: Living Out Loud, which was released on March 12, 2013, and debuted at #3 in the country. After 18 weeks after the release, L.O.L reached #1 in the country. Her freshman project L.O.L landed her Stellar Award nominations in two categories; “New Artist of the Year” & “Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year”.  Her first released single, "Imagine Me," is her take on a song by Sunday Best host Kirk Franklin, which she performed on the show. "It's a song that applies to my life in all areas because it's about being comfortable and confident in who I am and who God made me to be," she says. "I grew up listening to and admiring Kirk Franklin. To sing that song in front of him was an honor. "

BITS: LITTLE RIVER BAND'S WAYNE NELSON

    in Entertainment

Lead singer and bass guitar player, song writer and co-writer for the Little River Band, Wayne Nelson has been playing bass and singing lead vocals with the band for more than 30 years. Nelson reminisces with Halli when he joins her at the table on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show.

The Little River Band originally formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975. Nelson came on board in 1979 the first American to join the band. All told, LRB has sold more than 30 million records and achieved 13 U.S. Top 40 hits, most notably Reminiscing, Lonesome Loser, Cool Change, The Night Owls and Take It Easy on Me, the latter two songs featuring lead vocals by Nelson, along with his considerable talent as a bass guitarist, his funk bass skills distinguishing him early in the band’s history. Just as compelling as the story of the band is Nelson’s personal life a story of extreme highs and tragic lows.

Reminiscing with Little River Band’s Wayne Nelson, Halli’s guest for the hour when he joins Halli at her table Wednesday, May 20, 3 pm ET on The Halli Casser-Jayne Show. For more information visit Halli Casser-Jayne dot com.
