On December 1, 2006, changes relating to electronically stored information ("ESI") in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure took effect. The changes to Rules 16, 26, 33, 34, 37, 45 and Form 35 provide mandates to the preservation, discoverability, production, accessibility, and costs associated with ESI which includes e-mail, word processing documents, spreadsheets, voice mail, databases, and more.
Today, all litigants have a duty to request and disclose responsive electronic evidence in their cases. Whether your cases are small or large, or whether you are a sole practitioner, pro se litigant, or member of a large firm or corporation, discovery issues relating to ESI will have to be addressed and resolved.
The purpose of this audioblog is to introduce legal professionals, paralegals, real estate professionals, corporations, insurance adjusters, and more, on how to comply with electronic discovery requests. We will introduce you to the tools you will need to construct a litigation readiness program for your organization in the event that litigation becomes imminent, pending, or pending.
Throughout the audio series you will learn:
1. The Basics of Electronic Discovery
2. An Electronic Discovery Checklist
3. Requesting Electronic Discovery
4. Responding to an Electronic Discovery Request
5. Amendments to the Federal Rules and State Counterparts
6. "Meet and Confer" Planning
And much more!

My guest tonight, Peter Simpson of Erwin Rommel School of Law and The People's Law Study Group, is a Litigation Consultant who will shed much insight and wisdom on why a 16 year old young man spent 3 years in one of the worse prisons in the country for a crime that he didn't commit. Kalief Browder attracted the attention of celebrites like JZ, Rosie O'Donnell on The View and Mayor Deblasio in New York, after the facts revealed he was wrongly imprisoned. After his release he made many attempts to get back to a normal life and had many supporters along the way. This podcast will look into the legal failures and lack of knowledge that caused this young man to end his life.
Parkinson’s look-alikes at first glance, many individuals with PSP, CBD, and MSA, often see multiple medical professionals before they receive an accurate medical diagnosis. Once diagnosed, they often sadly realize that their disease has a much more aggressive and less treatable course than PD. As patients, some impairment in speech and/or swallowing,is often an early symptom requiring referral to speech therapy. Individuals diagnosed with these rare neurodegenerative diseases are all struggling in their own way to cope with the daily effects of the disease on their body, family, and emotions.
My Guest, Trish Caruana, MSW is Vice President of Programs and Education for Cure PSP, where she works to broaden and develop new avenues of support for those impacted by PSP/CBD and MSA. Cure PSP provides education and public awareness about the impact of these diseases on patients and their families. Public awareness, advocacy, and improving accurate diagnoses and treatment are Cure PSP's goals. Ms. Cauana has created innovative programming and widened the reach of education and support services for patients, care partners and healthcare professionals, and is currently working to establish new international collaborations and partner with related entities to establish a Global Database.

Meet Jill Jones-Soderman: 866-553-6931 The Foundation for the Child Victims of the Family Court. See their mission statement below.
Our goal is to aggressively fight for justice on behalf of the CARING PARENT involved in contentious custody battles. We try to promote love, loyalty, safety and inter-generational cohesiveness within families, so that adults and children thrive and are empowered individuals.
Our core goal is to protect the rights of caring families to raise their children, express their culture, beliefs and lifestyle within the privacy of their own homes. We believe that this is an inalienable right protected by the Constitution of the United States.
It is our responsibility to speak out, publish and file complaints against those who intrude upon these rights or act in an unethical or improper manner when dealing with our clients.
Respect for our clients' confidentiality, and our willingness to aggressively defend their rights is an integral part of our work.
We offer solutions to high conflict divorce by providing alternatives to litigation, when that can be achieved:
Parent coordinator support
When there is NO alternative to litigation:
We aggressively provide non-attorney consultation, forensic legal evaluation of your case, and Court submissions, filings and presentations, to help you gain custody!
We go where others fear to tread. We protect client confidentiality, dignity and your legal & civil rights.
We provide on-going therapeutic advocacy while supporting our clients through the Family Court litigation process.
We also support Civil Court and Federal Civil Rights actions on behalf of clients, to ensure they receive legal justice and appropriate compensation for their families!

So right from the start we’re dealing with an emotionally charged situation where everyone believes they have the better side of the story.
