FILM CONFRONTING THE STRUGGLE OF FAITH & GUN VIOLENCE KICKS OFF NATIONWIDE TOUR AT MEGACHURCHES AND UNIVERSITIES
Abigail E. Disney makes her directoral debut withThe Armor of Light, Disney. Reverend Rob Schenck and Lucy McBath will take the documentary on the road for a special series of pre-release events aimed at creating a dialogue with faith leaders around issues of gun violence. Faith Over Fear includes stops in Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston and Orlando, all major centers of Christian faith thought and worship. The plan to share The Armor of Light in these areas prior to the release grew from the great interest and support of many influential faith leaders around the nation. Disney, McBath and Schenck hope to begin prayerful and respectful conversation around reducing gun violence in America.
"I made The Armor of Light with the hope that we could somehow find a way to break our political and social deadlock around guns and violence in America,” said Disney. “And on the Faith Over Fear tour I look forward to dialoguing with faith leaders about how to tap into our deepest values to find a viable way forward on this most important issue."
The Armor of Light, which premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, tracks Reverend Schenck as he tries to find the courage to preach about the growing toll of gun violence in America. Schenck, who operates the well-known ministry Faith and Action in Washington, D.C., questions whether America’s gun culture is consistent with his pro-life values. Schenck finds inspiration in Lucy McBath, the mother of Jordan Davis, an unarmed teenager who was murdered in Florida and whose story has raised questions.
Born and raised in Peru, Elena Camargo Radford comes from a lineage of an Ancient Incan Culture. This ancient linage is steeped in shamanic teachings and practices. She has inherited and developed the sacred language and communication used by her people from over thousands of years ago. The tools accompanying these skills are multi-dimensional in quality and unlike others, allow Elena to tap into the DNA and ancestral heritage of the subjects in order to heal them on every level, reaching the spirit and soul, eliminating any and all negative energy. This technique, unique to the Ancient Incan Tribe, has been suppressed over the centuries…
As a child, Elena’s questions about life were often received on a vibrational level, in stillness, “They just came to me from the plants, the animals and the mountains,” said Elena. During her childhood, this same connection existed with other children as it would come to her in a wave of emotion, feeling their story, their background, their home. Trusting this feeling, and knowing she has a gift, Elena cultivated, nourished and developed these qualities well into her college years until she moved to the United States. “Culturally,” she says, “it was different here and I found people not understanding or embracing my ways. I was young too. Consequently I tried to shut out my natural tendencies of intuition and healing. I thought it didn’t fit into the lifestyle here.”
Elena’s practice of Inca shamanism includes, activating water, Crystals, and the information within them that allows people to clear their DNA. As an Incan Shaman, she is well revered and respected by her peers. Elena shares her gifts and insights, by providing numerous services to others, including individual sessions, web-seminars and workshops

I have a dream...Celebrating Our Jubilee!
Our forefathers and mothers planted trees from which we gather fruit, and dug wells from which we quench our thirst. Civil Rights Activist marched for us, died for us and pleaded for our equality.
So what are we leaving behind for our communities today? What are we fostering in the minds of our Black children? How will we strengthen our families and our communities? How are we Leading Change?
Just over fifty years ago, Dr. King's "I Have a Dream..." Speech debuted in Detroit and transformed a nation. Today, we are uniting to become a beacon of light and love to usher in greater transformation within our capacity to love that will impact this city. As Detroit goes, so does the nation.
Grass roots organizations, churches and community business groups are raising the bar on what's possible so we evolve in our beliefs, values and purpose for the elevation of our consciousness to enlarge what's possible for us as spirits in human form. We are encouraging each one to search their hearts and find their destiny so they can powerfully play a role in Detroit's Re-birth that causes the world to know that Love is the Power that uplifts us all and brings balance.
Today, we are sharing more on the Power of Collective Collaboration. We are inviting women from the Detroit Metropolitan area to join us on Sunday, Oct 11th at 3pm to celebrate ourselves and our collective power so this community takes notice of our presence, and respect our requests for better schools, safer streets, equal pay, clean air, and the many causes that we all represent.
Can you imagaine having 10,000 women answering the call to support your cause to create change? This is why we are gathering. We are not a protest, a march or a rally. We are a GATHERING to collective support each other.
We are powerful, and together we rise!
Jeremiah 33:6, 8
Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
