Tony Trupiano: The Voice of the People for February 25, 2015

    in Politics

On Wednesday, February 25, 2015 joining Tony on The Voice of the People are:

Susan Demas, columnist with Mlive.com and Editor and Publisher of Inside Michigan Politics, takes us literally inside the Michigan GOP convention, and teaches us a little history lesson as well.

Brendan Fischer, General Counsel with the Center for Media and Democracy, is embroiled in the fight to fight Right to Work in Wisconsin, and for those of us in Michigan it will sound all too familiar.

Amy Hunter joins Tony as we continue our on-going series on LGBTQ rights…and the struggle continues as well.

Garrett Arwa, Executive Director of the Michigan Democratic Party calls in to discuss a $70 million purchase for a new state Senate office building.  Is it necessary?  The answer won’t surprise you, but the alternative just might.

Ferndale attorney, and one of the Good Guys, Jim Rasor, joins Tony to discuss a local case of a Transgendered teenager and why President Obama needs to be thanked.  Don’t understand?  Tune in to find out.

Doug Cunningham, “The Voice” of WIN News gets more than three minutes and, boy oh boy, does he have a lot on his mind

You are always welcome to join us on-air by calling 855-381-8795. Find us on Facebook by searching for Tony Trupiano: The Voice of the People and AUNAmerica, and on Twitter @tonytrupiano and @aunamerica.

    Politcalamity: Extreme Enmity

    in Politics Conservative

Politics, Crises, ISISILes, Crashes, Ukrainian Nazis and Calamities – Welcome to the Empire of Chaos – it is a Politicalamity! The Summit on Countering Violent Extremism was held in DC as the US military is dispatched around the world to spread ‘peace and democracy’ through the use of violence.  At home we’re bickering about which side of the political divide has the right answers and all the ‘moderates’ lob the label ‘extremist’ at everyone else.  The more ‘moderate’ ‘peaceful’ and ‘democratic’ we become the more enmity we seem to foment..

Do you support the Constitution? EXTREMIST! Have you the courage to criticize the ‘left’ AND the ‘right’ especially pertaining to the US Government’s economic and foreign policy? EXTREMIST! Do you follow the diktats of the Qur’an? EXTREMIST!  But, if you merely support those who actually follow the diktats of the Qur’an, well, then you’re a moderate. This politicalamity does not begin in the District of Calamity–it begins in your mind.

Tyranny persists UNLESS liberty-loving people band together to restore Constitutional governance from your own neighborhood on up by restoring The Constitutional Militia of the Several States, sound money, free economies, religious and civil liberties as well as a sensible foreign policy of trade, friendship and non-interventionist defense backed up by the most powerful Navy and Marines; or watch the fascists in both parties push transnational agendas. Now is the last chance to stop those who perpetuate an empire abroad and a police state at home. To defeat the fascist oligarchs especially the Democrat-socialists, first you MUST CRUSH the Neocons...for liberty!

Changing the Landscape of Behavioral Health Technology: Next Step Solutions Inc

    in Psychology

Our in depth discussion with Dr. Darrin Hanna and David Ballenberger, MSW of Next Step Solutions: a software organization that is heavy on development and light on marketing agendas.

NextStep™ has developed a digital pen system and embedded artificial intelligence into their EHR.  Sounds unbelievable right?  A science fiction movie, maybe?  We saw it action at their office and while we visited several of their clients. NextStep™ has clients across the United States using their award-winning software for behavioral health private practices, research clinics, residential programs, outpatient agencies and state hospitals.  It was a pleasure to sit down with Dr. Darrin Hanna and David Ballenberger, MSW to discuss their product, their organization, and what the future holds for behavioral health technology.

    TGIF FREE FOR ALL

    in Politics

Supplemented with audio clips from the vast archive of over 1500 RFK episodes compiled since August 2007.

    Quit early.

Start your Friday exit from wage-slavery with a good dose of chicanery and chutzpah.  I'll provide the audio intoxicants and smart-ass podcast talk from the best - Chuck Mertz and crew at Chicago's WNUR 89.3FM at  THIS IS HELL radio.

And what's so great about this TGIF celebration?  You can listen to their latest show as it streams live the very next morning!

From what they're all "about" page:

" ... Each broadcast features long-form interviews with writers, thinkers and workers from around the world and across the spectrum of experience. Our interviews are built on research and critical analysis, not preconceived opinions or political agendas. This is Hell! is not a soap box, or a pulpit, or an audition for a corporate job somewhere. It’s a bar stool, three beers into a conversation with a fascinating stranger. It’s the news-stand of your dreams that would go broke in the real world. ..."

KKK, Donuts, LGBTQ white privileged, teacher benefits too many.

    in Politics

Hr1   Oops! A Krispy Kreme donut store in the U.K. launched the KKK club (Krispy Kreme Klub). They say it was an innocent mistake and the corporate office quickly scrubbed the event and all promotional materials.

An article for the University of Houston Daily Cougar’s sex week issue argues that the LGBTQ community focuses too much on white gay men. Here we go again .....

Hr2   Liberal radio host Bob Kincaid says that the CSX freight-rail company is a bigger threat to Americans than ISIS is. Are you kidding?

Kyle Olson with EAG News talks about teacher benefits, days off, and how much is enough... or too much? Banking sick days until retirement hits school budgets hard with liability they aren't always prepared for. Sometimes as much as $30,000...

A Shreveport, LA "Little Free Library" receives a "cease and desist" letter. Because shutting down "commercial enterprises" like this in neighborhoods that are not "zoned" for libraries...

Hr3    Author Jay Cost talks about corruption in BOTH parties and his new book "A Republic No More: Big Government and the Rise of American Political Corruption." He says the biggest difference between the 2 parties is in the grassroots.

North Carolina is trying to train its educators to be more effective and “equitable” in the classroom by helping them “rank their societal privilege.” We can't label kids as boys and girls, but we can label them as privileged or not. No wonder we're ranked so low in language and math skills worldwide!

Sue yourself? A different kind of Islam?

    in Politics

Hr1  Covering current events, including those weird news items that you may not have heard or read in the mainstream media accounts.

New Jersey man faces prison for having an unloaded, 250 year old gun (that probably wont even fire) in his glove box.

A Utah woman sues herself for the wrongful death of her husband. Is she going to pay herself if she wins? Or is she looking to profit from the insurance company? or her husband's estate?

LGBTQ student organization, Allied in Pride, at George Washington University has cancelled its annual drag show fundraiser, claiming the event is “homophobic and counterproductive.”

Hr2    Apparently, Michelle Obama needs to add Soylent Green to school lunches. Mark Dice proves again that ignorant Americans will sign any petition.

Dr. Faheem Younus from Muslimerican.com joins the conversation to talk about the recent happenings around the world, ISIS, and a different kind of Islam.

Hr3  Covering current events, including those weird news items that you may not have heard or read in the mainstream media accounts.

Continued from the last hour... more of Mark Dice's man-on-street talking about the importance of adding Soylent Green (a fictional product) to school lunches.

Obama, Boko Haram, Nigeria, and Israel.

Joe read listener comments and emails.
