On the October 23, 2013 episode of Liberal Dan Radio: The simplest breakdown between the two main sides of the political spectrum is if you need more government or if you need less government. So I want to have that discussion today. Where are the places where more government intervention is needed? Where are the places where less government intervention is needed?
Many of the people who are against the Affordable Care Act believe that it is a governmental power grab. They believe that it is government run wild and that government shouldn't have a place at the table. They believe in free market solutions. Do they work? Is full government intervention the answer? I will look at Texas (of all places) to show where a good mix of government and private ownership may be able to bring a better solution.
The recent case regarding the arrest of two students after a bullied girl killed herself has also opened the discussion of if we need more or less government. Is bullying a right of passage that government has no right to interfere with? Would cracking down on bullying by making it a crime violate free speech rights? Or does the right to be kept free of harm enable he state to come down and place strict penalties for those who wish to torture and torment other people.
A campaign flyer in New Orleans was published before the last election seeking to turn voters away form voting for an openly gay candidate. Should there be stricter laws dealing with such mailers or would that also be a violation of free speech rights?
I will also look back at the Erin Cox case and check for updates.

Government and God's people have a very important relationship. As Christians we need to keep in mind that no matter where we live or what type of government we are under, we are first and foremost Christians. We can not rely on the human ideas and desires to perpel us into ungodly areas of our lives. We must remember Biblical examples such as Daniel, King David, Moses, and Paul, that went against the established rulers to stand firm in the word of God. Their acts did not come easy and they did not come without pain. But we must stand firm and stand for what is right. Our faith and the word tells us that God is in control. Are these just words or do we REALLY beleive it?
Government is only as good as We the People. Government is required to protect the civil rights of all citizens. We the people vote for people we expect will help improve the quality of life for our communities, and for the nation. We are not monitoring the people we elect and the result is, government is only as good as we the people.
Politicians are governement workers who are elected into office to write bills and pass those bills into laws. Those laws areto be for the greater good of society as a whole. That said, different politicians must provide different resources and laws to their constitutents, based on geographical areaa. But those laws should never go against the greater good of society. Politicians are only as good as the people who votes for them.
The government workforce includes people who are hired to carry out laws, administer services, and support all communities. This workforce more times than not do a better job than the politicians. But again the government workforce is only as good as We the People in the community it serves.
To get better people as politicians, We the people must do our part.
To get better people administering services, supporting the communities, carrying out the laws, We the people must do our part.
Government is only as good as We the People
On the August 27, 2014 edition of "Nature Of Reality Radio" I welcome former Constitution Party Congressional Candidate, Government Insider, Christian, Patriotic American Business-owner, Environmentalist, and President of the Citizens Committee for a Restructured Government (CCRG) John Nicholson to discuss how our new world order puppets in government are screwing over the American people in a myriad of ways. John has been on a quest in life that led him to believe we are living in a tyrannical matrix, and now he desires to do something about it to bring more freedom to all.
