People usually only reach out only when they need help or there is a crisis but we here Dream Catchers we believe in community support, Peer to peer Support, and Systems change Advocacy and that there are people everywhere with and without disabilities who can learn a lot from survivors!
I met someone who doesn’t have a disability who is down on their luck. I invited them to come to our last Brain Injury Support group meeting and they came. They wound up telling people all over the community about what we are doing and in turn others started helping out and it turned into a beautiful thing!!!! Tonight we will be talking about building up Community services for everyone in need with is a true act of kindness indeed!
We could work together in a food bank or offer support in many ways but one of the harshest realities I have witnessed in the disability community is that disabilities segregate and separate from one another.
We all are fighting for the same pot of money the same rights under the ADA so why not all of us fight together on the same team for all people with disabilities and be 56,000,000 and for an unbeatable power house team of survivors that just simply believes that discrimination of any type is wrong!!!!
The words of a new song by Paul McCartney called Everybody out there motivated me to come up with it as part of my shows title for my show tonight.) Hey, Everybody out there. You know what it's like. If you haven't got a life, When you haven't got a life, Hey, do you want to make a difference? Well, stand in the line If you haven't got the time I can give you some of mine There, but for the Grace of God go you and I We're the brightest objects in the sky There, but for the Grace of God go you and I Do some good before you say goodbye
Through time their have been people who talk the talk but don’t walk the walk when it comes to caring, compassion, and a new life or about the real cost and challenge to survivors of TBI and aneurism survivors around the World but giving us a voice and standing with and for the survivors that is where the pavement meets the road! Do you know what it’s like, I can’t hear you, I can’t hear you!!!
Tonight let’s talk about survivors reaching out to other survivors and showing the care and compassion that it will take to make a difference in a way that only one survivor to another can provide and by truly stepping up to the plate and helping those who feel disfranchised and abandoned around the World! Lets make a difference in the lives of Millions so talk to me!!!
Tonight will do just that stand up and take the place of people who can’t due to their Injuries and help make the entire World a much better place for everyone now!
LesPaul Morgan on the Brain Injury Radio.

The Empowerment Zone was created to help empower people with disabilities to be able to live, Love, Work just like anyone else. We aren’t asking for a hand out but instead a hand up and to be treated as equals in society and that means people with disabilities living a self directed and self determent life!
For far too long people with disabilities have lived in the back ground but with the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) we have laws and regulations designed to provide equal access for all so get ready to ne encouraged, and Inspired because we have some great shows planned so get ready to touch the future because the Empowerment Zone has arrived so join me and an exhibiting array of guests and topics!

Due to a technical problem with the prior show (Shannon's Be Positive)...I'm sneaking in again, totally ill prepared, but always loving the music & callers. Had a grand time in the chat and by text last night on THAT impromptu show. Among great tunes was a small fellowship on a Friday night. Looks like Saturday (tonight), we'll do the same. Join me...And we might even be able to find Shannon again~
This week's message comes from a recent sermon delivered by Pastor Brad Morgan of New Life Beginnings Church in Pattison, TX. In this message Pastor Brad shares a teaching about how God is raising up statesmen, He is shifting men in this nation, through the rising up of men in the local church.
Tonight's show is on Effective TBI Advocacy. I am starting to feel under the weather but hopefuly will feel better and be able to come on and do a live show. Togetheher as a community of survivors we can change the World around us and as I sit here nearly 30 Years after my first injuries ocurred I want to see major positive changes start happening NOW!!!!
I want my next few weeks of shows to be a cellibration of survival for 30 years and about the hopes and promise of the future!

It's Christmas Eve and the Elves are busy zipping around with Santa--what happens next? Holiday-themed books and stories can go in many directions when the author uses the "what if" test while creating the plot. They can be fiction, non-fiction, funny, romantic, thrillers, whodunits, fantasies and just about any genre you can think of. They are also ripe playgrounds for the author to add twists. Think about the iconic movie "It's a Wonderful Life," and how many directions that story could have taken. What are some of the elements that draw readers to these books as each holiday rolls around? Do they sell well? Since it is Christmas Eve, Denny and Morgan will be with their families, and this show will be a pre-recorded broadcast for your enjoyment. It will also become part of the archived shows available for future listening. So lift your glass of Christmas cheer while you listen and think about all of the holidays that will inspire and have inspired a huge variety of plots.
