A diverse program tonight indeed! First up is Minister Daphneleah sharing her experience of Wedding Wisdom for those out there planning their big day, or perhaps helping a loved one to plan their wedding. Beyond the obvious, Daphneleah shares with us the importance of self care and self love, how to stay true to oneself while attending to the needs of family and friends, choosing an officiant and why that's important, and gives examples of a Goddess/God focused wedding flow.
Crossing the threshold into the second half of the show, I'll offer a meditation to Sekhmet, Lady of Tenacity Manifested, as our country deals with the summer heat, drought and fires.
Barb welcomes back Jen and Karen, partners in life for over 30 years now. During Part I - which you can pick up right here at the show site - Jen and Karen told us about the early years and left listeners to learn this week whether their dream for their lives and family has come to fruition.
Be sure to tune in to Part II, where we reveal if their dream has come to pass and Karen and Jen share the ongoing tribulations of raising a child when you're a lesbian couple as well as other interesting experiences that have grown their wisdom and their togetherness even more.
Karen and Jen live by example what is so special about 'sticking it out' through thick and think with a partner. You will better understand Lasting Lesbian Love's vision when you hear their story. This episode is chock full of tips for creating lasting lesbian love.

Tonight we talk wedding trends. Things you can do to make your wedding stand out and be as unique as you are. The possibilities are endless.
The business of putting together weddings is a huge and profitable industry. Magazines, TV programs, bridal fairs, books and websites by the hundreds have surfaced to ensure that all the details of a couple's special day are done right and done well. From the right color of ribbon for the reception place cards to the type of flowers in the bride's bouquet to the best kind of filling in the wedding cake, couples have a plethora of voices offering opinions, advice and options-and each couple will spend an average of over $20,000 to see that all the loose ends are tied up neatly and everything comes out picture-perfect.
When did getting married get so complicated? Have we lost something in the process of trying to create the picture-perfect day? Weddings are, without a doubt, one of the most significant and life-changing events a man and woman will ever experience-but have we focused on the trees so intently that we can no longer see the forest? When everything is said and done, what's a wedding really about?
Your host Soul Dancer, an out, gay, licensed wedding officiant in Hawai'i is also a social worker (masters level, private practice), monk of three orders and shaman in three traditions.
