Why Lesbian Relationships Don’t Work with Ruth Schwartz, Ph.D part I

    in LGBT

This week, which is the first part of a two part series on why lesbian relationships don’t work and how they can, Barb welcomed to the show L3 Dream Teamers Ruth Schwartz, Ph.D., and Michelle Murrain, Ph.D.! Dr. Ruth and Dr. Michelle are a lasting lesbian couple of about 8 years and the founders of Conscious Girlfriend. Conscious Girlfriend offers retreats, online classes, and books to help you find true love.

As Barb says, there are very few models of successful lesbian couples and the ones available are often hidden. Because of this lack of examples, many women struggle as they go down the path to love because there is no guidance, no relationship advice books to turn to. Two major roadblocks on the path to lasting lesbian love are finding the right person for you and creating real intimacy. These roadblocks have derailed or destroyed couples, resulting in broken hearts and dampened spirits.

But there are ways to avoid the roadblocks and prevent heartache.

To learn how your lesbian relationship can work and how to avoid heartache, be sure to listen to this week’s show!

Why You Get Treated Like Crap In Relationships

    in Relationships

You're a nice, decent person. You are loving, and want to be loved by others. So why are you always being treated like crap—especially in romantic relationships? This edition of Grown Zone Radio focuses on sabotaging beliefs that cause you to attract, choose and tolerate mistreatment—even though you say it's the last thing you want:

People mistreat you because they care about you.

True love requires you to accept mistreatment.

Someone (other than you) should be protecting you.

Tolerate what you don't want, and you'll continue to get it, no matter how loudly you protest, or how much you insist that you deserve better. We're going to take on the unhealthy beliefs that invite people to mistreat you, and sabotage your ability to accept the relationships of honor, esteem and respect that you were created to enjoy..

You--and likely others you know—really need to tune in to this edition of Grown Zone Radio. Join us to learn why our book Loving In The Grown Zone is not your typical relationship book about finding the love of your life (or just getting a steady sex partner), but about making healthy choices empower you to claim the love you were created for.

The Love. The Sex. The Magic.

    in Spirituality

Fresh off an amazing weekend in Charlotte, we are excited to share with you the conclusion of our relationship series. Love Sex & Magic.

We've touched on building a personal relationship with ourselves & Creator. We've talked about the joys and challenges we have experienced with relationships between family and friends and we've discussed the intricacies of intimate relationships.

At the Love Sex & Relationships Seminar Master & Acharya did a wonderful job of opening our eyes to the  magic and beauty as well as responsibility that comes along with intimate relationships and relationships amongst family. These relationships are catalysts for our growth and often shine light on the aspects of ourselves that we'd like to keep hidden.

The Tybro family has truly formed a bond that extends beyond this world. We see the divinity that is within each of us and we are charged by pushing ourselves beyond our limits with love and humility.

We look forward to sharing with you, this Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 11 am Eastern, the love and some of the experiences we shared.

We love you. Talk to you soon. In the Spirit of Love

    Christ Ignored, but Gifts Revered

    in Spirituality

Are you compulsively diving off the cliff that your credit card has created for you? Are you hooked by the subliminal buying fever permeating the airwaves of your life with the "I want to shop, don't stop me" mantra? Is this compelling mantra pushing through your psyche and making you open you wallet again and again for your illusory golden-egg credit card?

Are any of your relationships suffering over gifting expectations that are silently conflicted by the ensuing debt that will follow? If so, you are not alone.

You may be silently bearing this burden in your heart as something "no nice person" would be feeling. But that feeling is marketing with its emotional blackmail being expertly aimed at your unresolved conflicts.

And its impression of 'got-to give' is amping up any guilt and shame you don't consciously understand but will most unconsciously feel.

How can you deny those  you love all the gifts "money/your 'golden egg' can buy"? In days of yore (not that long ago) when the cash was gone, the reality of what a gift could be was practically faced; its limitations were pondered to reveal the most precious choice to win out over all other choices.

The gift was lovingly plucked from many options as the rest were being peeled away by necessity, always revealing the most precious of the lot.

More to the point of what mattered, was that the love of the giver was met within the eyes by the reciever as both hearts met while the anticpatory wrappings dropped away, and the gift was revealed and received. Who enjoys this type of exchange so heartwarmly today?

Let's open our minds and hearts to a well-being we can reininstate into a holiday month and beyond that we can savor for a lifetime.  Let's shift our compelling motivations from money to love without guilt and enjoy the gift-giving thereof. Love
