This is a moving, transforming film about loss innocence, parenting and importance of faith.
From the producer of the hit faith film Faith Like Potatoes, which sold over 2.2 million DVDs in 17 languages worldwide, Born to Win is based on the true story of Leon Terblanche, a teacher at a school for disabled children, who found himself confronted with the question: “Where is God?” This sets him on a journey where he discovers that he has never been alone through all the hurt and brokenness of his past. Leon learns that no matter how broken you are, God is always our only living hope. Born to Win shows how God turns the hurt, frustration and emptiness of a man into hope, faith and victory to inspire people to be the winners they were born to be.
Theatrically released in South Africa in 2014 and recipient of the Golden Crown Award for Best Evangelistic Film in 2015 (ICVM), the poignant film is written and directed by Frans Cronjé and features touching performances from an outstanding cast including Greg Kriek as Leon Terblanche (Momentum), Leoné Pienaar (Break Away), Nadia Beukes (Mooirivier), Cobus Venter (Skin), Marie Cronje (Faith Like Potatoes),

Robert Buccellato is the Author of "Florida Governors Lasting Legacies", "Jimmy Carter in Plains the Presidential Hometown", and the forthcoming "Finding Dan McCarty."
He is a Graduate of Florida State University and the Historian for the Clerk of Courts for Leon County, a position created for him by Clerk Bob Inzer.
The physical connections to most American presidents are deeply rooted in the past and unfamiliar. One can no longer see Washingtons birthplace or William Henry Harrisons log cabin. Plains, Georgia, is different, and the attachment Americans have for it remains truly unique. Jimmy Carter in Plains: A Presidential Hometown tells the inspirational story of how one man and his community transformed a nation. When Jimmy Carter, a one-term governor of Georgia, announced his candidacy for president, few took him seriously. Yet, in just two years, he managed to pull off a spectacular and unprecedented victory, thanks to his personal style of politicking and the support of his hometown. Many of his neighbors campaigned for him, and they became known as the Peanut Brigade. Crowds started to flock to the sleepy hamlet of Plains, making celebrities out of the candidates mother, younger brother, and daughter. The exceptional photographs of Charles W. Plant guide the reader through the 1976 election, which made Plains Americas hometown.

The new year began with a bang and so much is still happening. I am blessed beyond measure and owe a great deal to my Dad, Leon Elliott Lyles, Sr. Our talks and discussions guide me through much of my life. We had an agreement for dialouge, based on three points; 1. Confidentiality: a promise that whatever we spoke on, was between us, 2. we had to agree to disagree, no arguments, period, and 3. we could talk about anything, including the big three:sex, relidion, and politics. Today is Daddy's Bearthday. He was born January 31, 1917. He would be 99 years old were he to be alive today. He was one of the first African American Naval officers, opening the door for other to follow. He passed on into the next realm over ten years ago. I can't say I miss him because he is always with me, always. I speak with him, to him and of him so often, others think he is still alive. I love you Daddy, Happy Bearthday.
This week's theme from the ORACLE Cards:
Your strength is not determined by your ability to love others. It lies in your ability to allow others to love you. Open your heart to the possibilities for love. Then your capacity to love others increases tenfold.
The ORACLE Speaks ...
"all-ways remember to love yourself"
